I was thinking about it, but I didn't like the other half. Also add Daredevil to the list for me!

Yeah, Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull has a 78% RT score and that still mystifies me to this day. There are many more movies that were praised that I think are terrible, than ones which were bashed that I think are good. Just my $02, but, in general, I think critics are far too kind to movies these days. The Tomato Meter has totally watered down the relevance or importance of film criticism.

The extremely boring Superman Returns is also fresh with a 75% RT score, lol.Aren't the Star Wars prequels also fresh? Cause those are trash too.
Ant-Man & the Wasp has a higher RT score than Infinity War.

The bold can go both ways really. She was definitely not ready for this genre shift, but you can also put it on Marvel for not seeing how her filmography is gonna translate into what they wanted Eternals to be. Sure she's an award winning director, but you also gotta look at the skillset, and nothing in her filmography indicates that she's ready for this type of film.I guess Marvel can never win. You are blaming them for not helping her enough and I'm already seeing some people blaming the reception of the movie on them for probably interfering too much. Everyone is already blaming Marvel for everything. Just maybe, Zhao is not yet ready for superhero blockbusters.
To be fair, I don't think those elements were the problem with this film (though some usual suspect YT channels might disagreeMeanwhile, Ant-Man and The Wasp has 87 % and I really was diappointed with this one. I just hope Marvel will have enough balls to continue some elements of LGTB, diverse cast and disability.
I'd imagine going from fun rom-com to fun action seems like an easier transition from Nomadland to Eternals. As someone said before, the ambition of Ant-Man isn't really as high as something like Eternals, so it won't be judged on the same curve.I'm not blaming Marvel for everything, I'm just genuinely surprised that given the enormity of the company and the many stakeholders at Marvel and Disney, that it wasn't caught earlier. I mean, before Ant-Man, Peyton Reed had done a handful of rom-coms and TV comedy, yet he was still able to pull off a fun action flick.
So it just surprises me that a movie of this scope with an award winning director at the helm couldn't stick the landing, given all the assumed support and safety nets of the Marvel/Disney machine.

But when looking at the actual average rating, the former has 7.0/10 and the latter has 7.6/10. This is why I hate RT... It hides the more important value.I mean, by two points, but yeah, that one is baffling. To me, anyway.
The Phantom Menace is rotten with 52%. The other two are fresh.
It can go either way, but honestly I kind of want it to be rotten just to see the meltdowns on Twitter from MCU fanboys.Take it this will be rotten more than likely by the time all reviews are counted?
I guess the critics hated Jar Jar more than Anakin's sand speech.

Why do people think Kevin Feige will do the X-Men justice? - Page 31Quote Originally Posted by WebLurker

But Ant-Man was not nearly as ambitious. Seemingly. I haven't seen the movie, but many reviews say it aims high and doesn't reach those heights it strives for. The thing about aiming high is that it is easier to fail or alienate people. So here, I see no way Feige didn't know Eternals was riskier than Ant-Man or something, and given comments Feige made about the movie in past interviews, it seems like he loved what he saw. That just isn't translating into universal acclaim from critics.
