Hang on a minute: this may sound like a stupid and obvious answer question BUT we see Brock in the official trailer look up and say "Parker" telling us that he now knows Peter is Spidey having seen him rip of the black suit. So the seen after that is him walking in the church right? Asking God to kill him because Spidey has helped to ruin him?

It makes logical sense- Brock finds Spider-Man enter the clocktower and catches Peter as he's leaving the torn evidence behind. Then when he puts two and two together he prays for Peter to die. There could be more like a brief interlude as to what the supporting characters are doing during all of this, but for the most part the two sequences seem intertwined.

That would be a great way to do that scene.
Kind of like building up to it.

Yeah i really like that idea. Never thought of it that way.

Nah, I prefer that he is going there ready to end his life and is praying that God will forgive him and will avenge him. I don't think once he sees Spidey fighting WITH HIS OWN SUIT above him taht he is praying. He obviously went there for prayer by the way he casually walks in and stops at the holy water. He did not go there following Spidey, he is going to look up probably in mid prayer and see this and then the symbiote will be his "answer" as it grabs him. That would be creepier too though.
