Scooby Doo Prequel In 2009{Direct To DVD}

Thats just really lazy of the casting director. Are there no dumb blond buff actors in Canada? Must they cut corners?

I believe on one of the featurettes on the DVD Robbie showed a picture of him with blonde hair...and yes, it looked really stupid.

Most guys nowadays with blonde hair either switch it up to make it darker or they style it different. The blonde coif just looks goofy.

The problem is they went with possibly the most ridiculous looking wig ever. That's why he looks silly.

Just dye his hair in the sequel for cripes sake.

he probably doesnt want to and it may have been in his contract or whatever.

i agree he should just dye his hair for the next one without any explanation as why-act like he always had blonde hair.

but i keep imagining it and one word comes to mine '*****ebag'. so yeah, the hair doesnt bother me as much as it did.

He shouldn't have been cast to play a blonde character then if he wasn't willing to dye his hair for the role. Not to mention the fact that IMO he was the weakest of the new cast to begin with.

I'm sure they could have a) gotten a better actor who was blonde (Robbie wasn't terrible, but still weakest link) b) made Rob blonde by dye. Hell there's temporary hair dye now. They could've just dyed his hair blonde for a few hours then he could've washed it out. Fashion models do this all the time for runway shows.

He could grow his hair out and they could highlight it or something.

I thought the girl that played Velma was the weakest actor. As for the subject of Freds hair I agree with you I mean big name actors always change their looks for roles I don't see why this guy couldn't do it, what because he looked bad wearing a bad wig they shouldn't try an alternative? Also I wouldn't think he'd have enough pull to tell the director he wouldn't dye his hair because he is no where near famous enough for that but if he did then yes they should have got someone else for the role.

I think this movie is doing really well on DVD too. I bought this on my break from work at the Best Buy next door and they only had 3 copies of it left.

... so true on the dye points... either commit or quit!--- if you're going to be an actor you have to commit to the roles

Freddie Prince & Sarah MG changed their hairs... even Natalie Portman went bald in V For Vendetta

I mean worst case scenario he shaves his head after going blonde and a few months later it's back to it's normal dark and shortness... Freddie Prince did it... and I don't care what anyone says his hair didn't look wierd to me, it was the first time I ever saw the guy in that film and I thought he was a blonde

ouch that sucks alot for the guy. My grandpa last year chop a 1/3rd of upper part of one of his fingers.

In regards to the new Scooby show, they're using a retro style for the animation{unlike the last series which had the worst animation possible}.

The look of the new Scooby series is definitely retro. We go back to the early seventies styling and backgrounds, and forget that all the dvd features were even made...

Casey Kasem came in last week to record Shaggy's Dad. [Kasem used to play Shaggy. Time moves on. -- SH] Casey looks good, but he moves a little slower than he used to. But he's out there doing it, you know? Still working.

A interesting bit of info I came across is that Matthew Lillard is taking over the voice of Shaggy.

There hasn't been anything moving with Scooby Doo is there?

Matthew Lillard: Not really. I played the voice of Shaggy for this new cartoon coming out. It's two seasons of a cartoon coming out and then we do two movies a year. Casey (Kasem) has officially retired from doing the voice, so I'm doing the voice. I know they're doing a live-action thing.
