Wow. I've seen alot of over reactions and silly nitpicking and cattyness from Anjow1060 in here. Really? We're out of our minds? Need to come to our senses? And trying to make us feel like inferior fans for liking the movie? Come on, dude. What happened to you? You use to be cool.

I guess there must be alot of inferior Screams fan out there since you're in a minority in hating the movie.

What did every one think of the score?

I've only seen the flick once, so I'm struggling to remember specific cues, but I wasn't that thrilled on first viewing. It was fine, but it lacked the lush, operatic layers that Beltrami had built up by the third film.

Yeah, they aren't really any memorable new themes. The music was kinda disappointing, both songs and score.

For those who think the killer's motive is silly, ridiculous and/or over the top....ahem:

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Exhibit C (for your own sake don't watch more than 90-120 seconds of this):

Exhibit D:

Exhibit E ( ):

....woooh. If that last one doesn't scare you....I have to do it. Watch this next one at your own risk.....I warned you:

Exhibit F:

Now it all should make sense. A brave new world indeed and case closed.

Yep. The motive is PERFECTION.

Also Jill's America and Don't Mess With The Original are amazing as is Morning With Dewey and Woodsboro 2011.

Also a few songs on the soundtrack I love.

You want to talk about lame motivations, please see Roman from, Scream 3 . Suddenly the half brother is the man behind tBilly & Stu because Mommy rejected him:whatever: Contrived and done to death

This motivation for the killer of Scream was perfect for the time we are in .

Just got back from seeing it. I loved it. It brought me back to when I was like 10 watching them in the theaters. I loved how it felt like the first one. Being back in Woodsboro and creeping around houses made it so much better then at a college or on some hollywood sets.

I loved that part as well. We finally got to kind of see the killer's plan make it out of act 3 and actually working. If Sidney had died she would have gotten away with it too. The knife thing Gale figured out was circumstantial and she could always tell Dewy that Charlie stabbed her there like he did "that **** tabloid journalist." Dewy would be so pissed by that he'd accept it and be glad Charlie was dead again. It's just that Sidney's "harder to kill than Michael ****ing Myers." hehe

Which I like.
The fact Sydney seems to be supernatural and surviving all these times and outlasting seven different Ghostfaces is kind of nice twist on it all too.

One problem I did have with Scream 4 was it didn't have that song that was in the other three movies.

YES!! Red Right Hand!

I'll tell ya, it would have been perfect during the Stab A Thon
when Gale is setting up the webcam. Also, I liked the nod to the first with her setting up the camera in Stu's house.

Indeed. Brilliant. I don't see how this is laughable at all. And the thing is, this will get even more relevant.

Agreed. I was disappointed "Red Right Hand" was not in the film.
But, this was a minor detractor; the only one that bothered me was Dewey's diminished role. Aside from that, I enjoyed the film and have actually started to enjoy the "Bruce Willis" line. At first, I did not like it, but looking back and contextualizing it, it turned out to be not too bad. Speaking of deputies, I also enjoyed the reference(s) to Anthony Perkins.

That was a huge mess up. It was the "opening song" in the actual Stab film in Scream 2. What were they watching during Stab A Thon, a director's cut of Stab with no opening song?

I just love how in this series its the protagonist who
just can not die!!!!!! It's great how every other horror series has different heroes but the same villain every film but with Scream, the big 3 keep prevailing, especially Sidney. She better never die, after 4 movies and being shot and stabbed, she can't!

Such a fun movie and series. It's funny how after I first saw Scream 2 when i was 10, i was afraid to go to the movies because of being afraid of some crazy dude in the next stall stabbing me, and here we are 13 years later, I work in a movie theater and get to see Scream movie in theaters for the first time, and what happens. My friend backtracks into the bathroom and some creppy dude is standing right near the door and staring at us. I yelled out "Holy bleep!!!!" Damn it's good to have Scream back. I want another one.

i was thinking the samething when KILLER was explaining KILLER's plan

I thought the motive was perfect. Goes completely with the time we live right now. Great Scream social commentary.

exactly...got into an arguement with someone at class today because I had seen the movie and told another classmate who asked the killer's motivation...and another kid who read the synopsis of the movie said he didnt like it.

I sure hope so.
Eh. I like that Scream moves around. That's one thing about Crystal Lake and Haddonfield I hated. At some point everyone would do something extreme like Haddonfield banned Halloween, and I think Crystal Lake kept changing it's name. And it just gets silly.

It fit to go back to Woodsboro for this one, but only because of the whole remake trend.

Anyone wish Tatum would get mentioned more? I always felt that Dewey never got a chance to properly mourn her. I think a lot of casual viewers even forget that they were siblings.

Wasn't the only time she was mentioned post-mortem when Stone made that cold-ass comment to Fake-Dewey?

It would be very interesting to see how it would be if one of these things was in a city. It was great for it to be back in woodsboro though after the sequels went away from that.

Early draft's Dewey and Gale had a kid named Tatum and there was a line specifically stating they had moved into the old Riley residence from Scream. Kirby lived in Stu's old house in her character sides that Hayden had to audition with. She said her parents had it heavily remodeled because they got tired of tourists.

Kirby in Stu's house might have been a bit much, but the Tatum bit is too cute. Kinda wish they kept that! :O
