the only thing that does not make sense about the picture and this scene happening after the final fight but before the final scene of them going their separate ways is where is Loki during this? Because before they split up, Thor has Loki with him to transport him back to Asgard.

Post credit scenes can be exempt from chronology requirements. For eg they could put in a twist or show an event happening differently that changes the meaning of the whole thing. In this case it is just a funny reference that wouldn't neatly fit into the live take part of the film. What's the problem lol?

We should be so lucky that even *half* of the restaurants in NYC have an "A" rating from the health department.

I dunno....there's not a lot of "buddy" or camaraderie there. Everyone's sitting and eating in silence....that makes for awkward dinner conversation (or lack thereof).

Still, that's probably part of Whedon's joke. It's: "Congratulations....you sat through the whole credits just to watch a couple of minutes of some people sitting around a restaurant, eating silently."

Yeah, that's the weird part It's not at all weird to argue about arbitrary bounds to what is and is not logical in a fictional account of things that aren't possible to begin with. Never mind that it's in the credits, where there are no rules to begin with.

For more weirdness, let's consider if they could just as well fly back at any time they chose, to grab a bite with their buds. Time is not necessarily a constraint for someone who can fly to a mythical plane of existence t: While you're at it, why not be indignant that there is no reason a fictional god would need to eat to begin with Oh, yeah ...... it's entertainment born of imagination, so whatever the creator's imagination chooses is what goes.
