The first is absolutely Spider-Man, I can't see how that's possibly Beast. I thought the second was Morbius, but I've seen other suggestions that it's Black Panther which makes a mega-ton more sense.

Yea But the quote doesnt match your assumption. Beast looks at the solution not the problem, Spider-man always looks at the problem and struggles to come to any kind of solution,he would never say something like that. Hell when I saw the quote I immedialty thought about Beast, a real scientist by the way.

I'd be cool with either Spider-Man or Beast. Spider-Man probably fits better with a "secretive" team, since he does have some stealth capability. Beast's a big blue gorilla cat man. But, Beast's had a longer history with the Avengers.

Before Romita was confirmed on Avengers, he said that even though he was sad to leave Amazing Spider-Man, he was still going to draw Spider-Man in his next monthly book (which turned out to be Avengers).

He'll be on Bendis' Avengers, not Brubaker's Secret Avengers.

In 40 plus years of comics, spider-man has never thought like that, I mean never ever. Thats like Wolverine saying "I don't believe in bloody Revenge, its pointless" it wouldn't make any sense. Its has to be Beast, I mean its has to be.

There's varying interpretation, and there's adding extra fingers, leaving off fur and sticking socks on the guy. I don't think its Spidey at all. But if it does turn out to be Beast, then I'm concerned with Deodato's abilities

The quote is very vague. It could be used for Reed f**king Richards for crying out loud. Any quote using the words "power" and "responsibility" would be a dead giveaway.
