Comics Secret Invasion: X-Men

Haha, why not? Is it written in his contract?
No, its just that marvel seems to really try to make Catbeast work, and to make him a skrull would somehow make their work in vain.

They had Ape-Beast come off the Skrull ship in New Avengers so I guess the idea isn't completely off the table ya know?

Yeah, but that version [BLACKOUT]was revealed to just be a Skrull imposter, so I doubt it.[/BLACKOUT]

But they would stretch it too far if they had Skrullbeast, kill him and then make another Beast a skrull.
Well, i hope they dont do it that way, but you never know with Marvel :P

Yeah lol. Same goes for Emma. I was really hoping the Emma that got off the ship was the real one

Why? That would reverse everything she has done over the years. The skrull thing is a cool idea because it makes you wonder if what some characters have done is really them but at the same time I dont like it because it would just reverse everything certain characters have done. And doesnt make sense in some cases. I just find myself hoping nobody ends up being a Skrull, which is stupid. :p

I have a feeling Nightcrawler might be the X-Skrull.

I would have thought so too, but why have him be so mesmerized by that purple orb (I dunno the official name for it, haha) as if it was something new? Not sure though...I could also see him possibly getting brainwashed.

The art (and the coloring) is the biggest let-down in this mini series, really.
Does Marvel run out of decent artists of their own, or does DC have all of them these days?

Uhamm.. I just read Secret Invasion X-men #2 and there's all these groups fighting at once. One group is 'ported in and Warren has feathers, moments later X-Force pops in and Warren's got the metal. Either someone screwed up or we have more than one Angel....? I am so confused....

Same question. And whats up with Emma punching the skrulls in her human form instead of in her diamond form, though Ive noticed none of the titles have used her diamond powers in any of the current issues, they seem to have forgotten about them.

I actually kind of like the art, surprisingly. Its kind of funky but in a good way.

yeah, the art looks fine to me, I don't mind it either. :)

Emma turned into diamond as recently as the last UXM arc

Oh god, I just saw a theory that one of the Angel's is going to be revealed as a Skrull to explain the whole Angel/Archangel thing. Kill me know if that's the road they take.

Oh, alright. For some reason I understood it as "the latest arc". Havent read that.

It's the only thing that makes sense, unless Marvel really screwed up. I am guessing that if one of them is fake, it's the feathered one. Thing is, wouldn't Cyke have known there were two of them? Isn't he keeping track of who is where?

Which is exactly why it DOESN'T make sense, because if there's two Angel's flying around, especially right in front of Cyclops and the rest of X-Force, someone should either notice something up, or they're all complete morons.

do you read X-factor? Warren got his metal wings back and at the end of the arc his feathered wings came back. It was stated that the metal wings were still him, which presumably means they'd re-emerge eventually. In UXM, Warren took out a sentinel with his bare hands and there was speculation that he switched and used his metal wings to do so. I really hate that the metal wings are back but its looking like he can switch back and forth. Id prefer a skrull excuse though

I do read X-Force so yeah, I know about his wings. The thing is, they need to show him actually physically changing back and forth if that is how they plan to have it, not just changing from one page to the next. In SI, even his costume had changed and the events were right on top of each other. When did Warren have time to change his clothes?

yeah you are right. I found it odd that he came with X-force and the timing definetly seemed off, which is why I hope theres a good explanation as well.
