Civil War Sharon carter A.K.A. Agent 13 - Part 1

Significant role? How much significant? You can't assume this just because of her presence in the promo art, which shows everyone from the cast apart from two villains, two politicians and Wanda for the reason unknown. There won't be enough time to develop her character and her relationships, she's there only for romantic plot. Because that's who she is - nothing but a love interest for Steve. And Evans said, that key members of his team are Sam and Bucky. We already know, that Steve's main emotional arc here will be about Bucky. Hell, she's not even the first female lead, it's Widow instead, assuming her time on set.

Since she's just going to be a "love interest" I hope we get this scene in CW.

Given the way they set up her character at the end of TWS, where Nat told Steve to ask her out, I can't think of a better reason for her to return in CW if their plan isn't to have Sharon developing a relationship with Steve.

So true, or else the set up and time spent planting the romance seed in TWS is all for nothing. No one can say that Staron came out of nowhere in CW like how Brustasha did in AoU.

Their costumes are all black, and/or blue. Which is why I hope if Sharon gets to wear a suit in CW that it looks different from there's and Mockingbird's in design and/or colour, maybe a light grey.

I don't like this design at all.

Part of my problem with the whole Bruce/Nat romance is that AOU follows TWS closely, and the Nat from TWS seemed to be quite different than the one from AOU.

I love Mockingbird's suit design. If they would only make all the grey white, and highlight the blue more. Throw in some goggles and bigger gauntlets and she's perfect.

Sure hope she gets off that show and onto the MCU soon.

Nevermind Mockingbird. I want Melinda May out of the MTVU and onto the MCU. Because I want to see her and I refuse to invest precious TV watching time on AoS. Let's have some older womenfolk represented on screen in the name of "diversity".

Yes, I want Agent May in MCU! I was disappointed that in TWS it was revealed to be BW who kicked ass in the Triskelion scene instead of Councilwoman Hawley/Jenny Agutter. It would be believable that it was the council woman since maybe she was a former agent and Jenny Agutter still looked fit.

I mean DC has Holly Hunter, Viola Davis in prominent roles in their upcoming movies and Marvel has......

More like this, but the pants are all blue and/or black.

Agreed. I know she's a spy, but it's like 4 different characters in the 4 movies. Even in the two avengers movies she seemed different. Not sure if it's because of the actress and/or the writing/direction.

I think it's because of Whedon's unique handling of BW in his two Avengers movies. I think that is also the reason why Nat has the same haircut in both of his movies compared with other MCU movies she appeared in. Whedon likes to ignore other movies and do it his own way when it comes to certain characters, such as BW.

A 62yr old woman taking down 5 elite Hydra agents? You'd think the criticism of Marvels villains was already bad enough

DC has Holly and Viola, Marvel has Tilda Swinton, Glenn Close, Rachel McAdams.......whats your point?

No, I meant BW felt like two different characters in The Avengers and AoU. TA BW was different from AoU BW. From one deleted AoU scene it was very obvious that the actress was pregnant. That deleted scene amongst others in the movie took me out of the movie.

Maybe that's why they deleted the scene. To leave it out of the movie.

She had the element of surprise to quickly neutralize the agents in her favor.

My point that you misinterpreted was this:

So my point was older womenfolk in prominent roles. Glenn Close was not in a prominent role, Rachel is not an older womanfolk, and hurray for Tilda Swinton who'll be playing a MALE Ancient One?

I see, well we seem to agree about Tilda, but you're wrong about Glenn Close, she was in a prominent role. She played the leader of an entire planet, factored into the entire story, and is guaranteed to be back for a sequel.

^Yep, good call. Diane Lane had a prominent role in MOS as well so I think both studios got the older womenfolk covered pretty good so far

I was going to mention Diane Lane, but then I didn't feel her role was prominent, it was more secondary like Glenn Close's in GotG. Rene's role didn't even seem secondary to me and she had less screen time than the at times annoying Darcy.

Now, from what I've read, Holly and Viola are going to play major prominent roles in their upcoming movies.

I don't like this design at all.

Sky and May's suits look OK if derivative and cheaper looking than their film counterparts but Mockinbird's is horrible and unflattering. It looks like a rubber tube with buckles and it makes her look shapeless.

Maybe that's why they deleted the scene. To leave it out of the movie.

That and they didn't use any VFX on it because it was deleted. They don't spend money and do post production work on deleted scenes unless they're doing it for a gag.

It's a ridiculous complaint.

Speaking as someone who was momentarily excited until it turned out to be Romanoff, that would have come off as clunky.

Well I did say that deleted scene AND other scenes in the movie.

It looks like a parachute pack merged with her outfit. Bobbie's getting her own show so hopefully she gets a new suit design more in keeping with the comics as well.

Not really. If they wanted BW to join that scene she could've appeared with Fury when he rocked up in the helicopter.
