The Dark Knight Should Batman be able to fly in the sequel

i think there should be an increase in use of the grapple gun like in the comics and animated series

Do you feel that strongly about it that you felt to need to revive this dead stupid thread? :(

Absolutely no flying!! I agree with the person who posted that even the way he was gliding in Begins was a bit much. Batman uses a glider to glide, it's not in his cape?

That was one of two things that kept Begins from being an excellent movie, the other thing was the absolute terrible way the fight scenes were filmed!

Fly?

Wait......something that kept Batman Begins from being excellent, to you, was the gliding?

Why? It's pretty much ripped from the comics (only making it a constant, and taking away the stupid "swinging").

Nah, man. Not so much as we need cables and acrobatics from rooftop to rooftop like the comics. I wouldn't push too much more than the gliding or "falling with style." :)

WHO THE HELL BUMPED THIS THREAD?!

I'm 'bout to crack some skulls.

Jet boots is ridiculous. It's not believable at all and doesn't fit in with the realism of batman begins. And it would look stupid. And the grappling hook is such a huge part of the batman character, it's like his most well-known gadget.

A bat jet would be more realistic, but would also be a bit ridiculous. It would be large and hewould have to learn to fly it. It wouldn't be a little thing where he could just hop in and take off real easily. Remember, the movie uses technology that's not far from what we have today. If he needed to travel to places farther than gotham, or remote hard-to-get-to places, it would be good to have a stealthy jet. But as long as he's in gotham, the batmobile would usually be his best method of transportation.

too late on the hangliders.

If he flew, so what, what's teh big deal? He can catch badguys faster.

It would completely negate the use of his grappling gun.

Not to mention it's just not what Batman does. Batman doesn't fly, never has. Why would he in the movies?

I think the glide thing with his cape in Begins was enough in terms of "flight". How about we keep it that way?

He can still use it to pull pieces of walls into bad guy's heads. Nolan knows what's best for batman, more than the comics do anyway. And it's better way to travel. What's more, maybe he'll fly in the comics too if he's given flight in the films... haven't the films and tv shows of the past influenced the comics a bit? There's always ways to improve batman, I think.

Go for it, Nolan.

guess he could fly too
there's a real jet-man in america....
so batty could triumph that

I can't believe people actually used to complain about Batman gliding with his cape.

Batman gliding over Hong Kong was actually one of my favourite parts of The Dark Knight.
