Should they do an "Incredible Hulk" on Daredevil?

I like MSJ, I am stoked to see Ghost Rider.

Only thing I would change is the actor, a la the Batman movies. Who this time? I would pick Matt Damon. Seriously. Think about it. He's Ben's buddy and would have his blessing, plus I would love to see his take on the character.

Right now, let's go with the assumption that "Incredible Hulk" will have little or nothing to do with Ang Lee's film. Should they take the same approach w/DD, & just start fresh or even semi-fresh?:daredevil

Yeah, I think they should do that.

I personally wouldn't start fresh, just have a new actor in the DD/Murdock role. Have him pick up his life where he left off, bring back Urich.

The rotating actors was one of the things I hated about the Batman movies.

True. But it would be interesting to see someone else's take on the role. DD wasn't a bad movie, just not a spectacular one.

I really liked Daredevil. I thought it was one of the best of the Superhero movies.

In fact, my girlfriend likes it better than even 'Begins'. I don't but it ranks a good second for me. Spidey being next - both 1 and 2.

I'm with you - Batman Begins first, Daredevil second.

And I'm talkin' theatrical cut. The "director's cut" lost so much of the focus on the relationship between Matt and Elektra, and added in unfortunate things like Foggy acting like the worst lawyer in history... siiiiigh.

Well, he did seem kinda useless w/o Matt.
But I prefer DD putting duty before booty.

I remember reading reviews which said that moment in the theatrical cut added so much humanity to the character, and I agree. He's sorely tempted to leave to stop a carjacking, but instead of going the traditional "a superhero's work is never done" route, he winds up staying with the girl he's falling in love with. A very human touch.

Plus, in the theatrical cut, Matt and Elektra spend time together OFF-SCREEN. They go for a walk together after their little spar session in the park. They obviously have to walk together to go back to her place, and then something presumably leads up to the sex session. In the director's cut, we literally see EVERY MOMENT they spend together. Matt knew her for approximately 30 minutes of his life, and then claims he "loves her" at the end. When he said that in the director's cut, I burst out laughing. The least they could've done is cut that line out.

I don't recall him actually saying anything about love & I just watched it 2 days ago.

"You killed the only two people I ever loved - WHY?"

I would like them to continue the arc from DD's director's cut,but since not many people have seen it then the only way it would probably work if it was a straght to video release.

How is there anything different enough in the DC that it wouldn't work as a sequel to the TC too?

They should of made this carjacking the one with Uncle Ben. Maybe they could of used a scene where the carjacker takes Uncle Ben out of the car and shoots him. No names need to be used or any actual references to Spiderman. Just the same two actors with one being shot.

In any case, I liked both movies (though with the Hulk I didn't like the whole Dad angel). I hope they each get a sequeal and it somewhat connected with the first movie (same actors would be a plus for me).

Well, if there was an actual shooting I think Matt might've been more likely to jump to the rescue. He was hearing a guy screaming out 'Hey that's my car!' so obviously nobody was really being hurt.

They should redo DD, this time get Kingpin right and have him white, and fix Bullseye too.

Keep Ben and Jon.

Ok-but it doesn't mean he was IN love with her; there is a difference.

True, but... he loved her after 20-30 minutes?! Still pretty insane in my eyes.

It just sounded better than "You killed one person I loved and one that I was infatuated with and thinking about taking the relationship to the next level with!" :woot:

I suppose he could've said "You killed the only two people I ever cared about," but that doesn't say very much for how he thinks of Foggy. ;)

Even though DD wasn't that bad of a film IMO, I wouldn't mind seeing a remake. I would like to Michael Clarke Duncan back as Kingpin. I don't think his character got the development and focus it needed.

Some of the other issues I had with DD:
-Playground scene
-DD being too weak to save Elektra, but somehow leaping across NY, and fighting and defeating both Bullseye and Kingpin
-Kingpin learning DD's identity
-Ben Affleck's hair. What was up with that?

I think the movie just had too much going on in it. I liked the Frank Miller "Man without Fear" take on his origins and was trying to be a little too much like Spider-Man, and I wish the film had gone a little slower and plotted out a trilogy.

First film has him meeting Elektra, learning the ropes, and fighting against Kingpin's minions, but not Kingpin. DD is just learning that there's a mastermind out there running things.

Second film. This is would be the one where Kingpin brings in Bullseye to take out DD and Elektra would die.

Third film. Takes place perhaps a few years later. Bring in Karen Page, and elements of the "Born Again" storyline. Finally have the showdown between Kingpin and DD.
