I'd like to see The Lizard in SM-3. But wouldnt that be 2 villains who are Peter's friends turned bad??? I mean both Harry and Curt.

We had that already with Norman and Otto.Repitition can be dangerous.

The concept of 2 "friends" becoming villains in SM3 could be done in a manner where we don't know if Harry is going evil until the end. That way it wouldn't seem so redundant when compared with Curt becoming Lizzy.

I think the difference is that Curt happens wihtout us seeing and the gaps are filled in with a flashback and should be much much more low key and kind of horror movie vile which Raimi would love to do. GG2 happened in SM2 we never actually see him take the potion and we just follow Harry down his insanity and the fact is though he does evil things he is not evil and dies saving Pete. Lizard is just trying to cure himself but may actually kill himself but is too monsterous to understand that logic.

The Lizard on the other hand should kill some gangsters or thugs when he is first changing and runs out into the night in fear (I think it would be a great cameo for Bruce Campbell to be killed by a half way changed Lizard monster human thing) and of course Harry at the end. But Conners should not recollect this and in essence get away with it.

I also was happy when I went over to the Batman Begins section and saw all those threads with Robin in it.I'm glad to see he is back.He is one in a million.He is easily the funniest character I have ever come across before on the internet.I have never come across a character quite like him before in my entire life on any message board.He is the ONLY poster who I have come across who makes me laugh when I am away from the computer.


Anyways,I sure hope The Lizard is in it.They have been building up his character ever since the first film and we were introduced to Doc Connors in the last film so it would not be a good idea to not have him in the next film.Plus I would really like to see how he translates to the big screen and how he looks on it.

Whilst I do like the Lizard. I also prefer him to Venom. I have never been a huge fan of his. I would like to see him in a Spidey movie, I mean he will look great. I would still like to see some villains before him though. Sandman, Electro and of course Scorpion. I would prefer to see those before the Lizard.

I think people, well i like the Lizard because, unlike characters like the Green Goblin, Venom and Carnage, it is not just some cold, soulless killing machine that Spidey can come along and beat the living snot out of. No matter how much he wnts or needs to, Spider-man cannot harm the Lizard because he is really his friend Dr.Conners, who isnt able to control his monsterous alter ego. He is like a modern day Jekyll and Hyde (and need i remind anyone how long that character has been popular). Its a character that we can sympathise with, if not relate to (unless of course you have PMS, heehee, guilty!)

Assuming that GG2 and Lizard could be in the front running for SM3, that sort of limits any other minor-league villains that might appear at the beginning of the film.

For example, Scorpion, Beetle or Stilt-Man wouldn't be good choices because GG2 (like it or not) would be an armor-wearing villain as well. Too redundant.

Also, any monster or animal-based villains like Morbius, Rhino, The Fly, or Man-Wolf won't do because that would be too much like the Lizard's concept.

Finally, any villains that have powers similar to Spidey's also wouldn't work, again because of the Lizard (who was actually the FIRST villain in the Spidey comics to duplicate most of Spidey's powers besides webbing).

So...this leaves mostly non-armor-wearing, non-animal based, non-monster villains like Shocker, Electro, Trapster, and the Maggia villains as candidates for cameos.

I don't see a problem there. We're overdue for a Shocker cameo (played by Bruce Campbell).

That would be awesome. The former wrestling announcer/snooty usher stumbles across some experimental Oscorp vibrating armbands and Pete finally gets his revenge on the guy by clobbering him and wrapping him up for the cops.

Exactly! What better way to wrap up Bruce's trilogy of cameos than to have him play one of Spidey's greatest foes?

Sorry, but I'd like to elaborate on this, just to get it out of my system.

The first big event of the movie would be Spidey getting his hands on the symbiote. I don't really care how, but probably more along the lines of cartoon/shuttle crash way than the comic book way. Maybe Jameson sends Peter to get pictures of his son's landing and he happens upon it, I don't know. Meanwhile, Connors has been working tirelessly on his regeneration formula, but he can't find the perfect enzyme to make the process work correctly. One night while he's working, Spidey stops in and asks him to take a look at a sample from his new suit. While examining it after Spidey leaves, Curt finds that it contains the enzyme he was looking for, combines it with his serum, and injects it into himself. The Lizard is born. The movie continues with black-suit Spidey hunting down the monster for a while and eventually learning that it's Connors. Enter Kraven, the world-renowned bounty/big game hunter, who seeks to slay the mysterious creature terrorizing New York. Confrontations between him and Spidey occur. All the while, hot-shot reporter Eddie Brock has been trying to solve the mystery of who or what the Lizard is. The climax occurs when Spidey defeats the Lizard, who transforms back to an unconcious Connors, only to see Kraven appear and try to murder Connors in cold blood. Spidey fights Kraven and, the symbiote taking over, almost beats him to death. Realizing what he's done and that the symbiote is responsible, he flees with Connors and loses the symbiote, perhaps through the sound of church bells. Unbeknownst to Spidey, Brock saw the whole thing and goes public with the Lizard's true identity. Spidey, in an attempt to save Connors' reputation, covers up the incident and creates evidence to lead everyone to believe it was all a hoax, or something like that. Brock's career is ruined and he goes to the church to pray, where the symbiote happens upon him, setting up Venom for the sequel.

I think it would make for a pretty interesting, dark movie and would do the Lizard justice. Any thoughts?

^ A good Ditko-esque design for an early form of the Lizard, but as he continues to change I'd give him a longer snout.

here's how i want it

Lizard First Phase: For this phase, Connors would be in control, but have "outbreaks".

Lizard Second Phase: This phase, Lizard would be smart enough to speak (with a hissing lisp) and have a sorta "strategy" for fighting

Lizard Third/Final Phase (a combination of the 2 pics below but no fins): He's completely lizardy in that he cannot speak (except for hissing and screeching) and he should have a very little bit of raptor in him.

thats how i think he should evolve in the movie.
