Noah Huntley is headed back to Medieval times to play the King Magnus in Universal's "Snow White and the Huntsman," producer Palak Patel announced on his Twitter feed. The Englishman, who played a small part in "Your Highness" as the head knight, was also a regular on the British medical drama "Holby City."
Because it is. I don't know if I would boast about that either.
The original story of Snow White isn't "traditional" at all though. Even though this film isn't the original story and instead it's own take, I think it has every right to be as dark and gritty as it wants to be when we've already had the light and fluffy Snow White for many years.
The thing about own takes is that more often than not they bare little resemblance to the reference material, in which case you may as well do something original.
Never said it was a positive. Instead of making a straight up Alice movie Burton and co bastardized it into something completely different. I get the same vibe with this. At least the other Snow White film looks to be heading down a more traditional route. If they wanna do some gritty looking fantasy film then do something original I say.
I would not boast about it being like Alice as that movie was poop...but this looks exactly the same marketing wise so far. So then why isn't the same being said for Mirror, Mirror? Do ppl like it more because it has flashy bright colors?

I would argue that Mirror, Mirror looks like Snow White and is a genuine attempt to bring Snow White to film.
As opposed to this, which seems created to latch on to a certain audience and looks to have found most of its creative juices in the movies it has so obviously ripped off.
