Snow White and the Huntsman

2012 will be the year of dwarves.

They deserve a year. Elves had it during LotR, then Vampires and Werewolves got in on the fun, with Superheroes never leaving the scene.

Besides the Burton's Alice in Wonderland vibe I'm getting from the promo pics it doesn't look bad. I'm excited to see what both Snow White movies has to offer.

Well to be fair to Snow White, her story works with being dark and gritty compared to the psychadelic nature of the Alice in Wonderland/Looking Glass stories.

Yeah that's true and it'll interesting to see how it's handled. The commercials Sanders directed is good and I hope the same goes for his first feature movie.

It's actually gonna be kinda cool to compare and contrast two different versions of the same story in the same year. In a way the competition is good because both films should in theory be trying to make sure their film is the best. Interesting times ahead.

Why does it have to be a spoof or a "gritty" Hollywood stupi-fied version? Both look terrible. You can do this story somewhere in between. Both are just bland.

Regarding Snow WHite being "hot", she's supposed to be like 13-14 in the tale, so unless you're a teen/tween, I would hope you don't find that "hot."

I from the promo pics, while I agree the Prince looks a bit untrustworthy, I think they're gonna go the recent Red Riding Hood route in terms of the love triangle. Who know's though, maybe he'll be the Evil Queen's son or lover(or both). Lots of possibilities.

Snow White is supposed to be "fair," not "hot" (which would be a strange mirror, mirror rhyme).

Fair meaning pale and pasty in this case, I imagine.

That looks awesome. The action seems to be the only thing this might have going for it. The casting of Stewart is disappointing , she's certainly not the fairest of them all .. especially in the same film as hottie Charlize Theron.

As much as I despise Stewart, Hemsworth looks like a straight up badass, and I do like the look of the dwarves.
