I agree it should be a film that almost celebrates the long histroy and friendship that the pair have had with each other. Any historical encounters could be done in flashbacks. This film needs to take place at the end of both their careers in order for it to work - at least IMO.

But I certainly don't want the Singerverse SUperman anywhere near Nolan's Batman.

That said, I still think you're right. Wally Pfister could do it.

You weren't watching SR if you think it was set in a 40s type setting. The only thing "old school" about the film was some of the architecture, which is a blend of old and new building styles...exactly how Metropolis is supposed to be. Otherwise, everything else in the film is very modern.Eros said:superman returns is set in some kind of 1940s esque world, Begins is in todays world ,the character dress like its the 21s century.
No one's forcing you to. Don't watch it, I'm sure WB won't mind a loss of 10 dollars.Besides i never want to see batman and superman togehter in any kind of live action event.
Yeah, as we clearly saw in the World's Finest movie. Man that was a joke.It would make fun of the batman character, and make superman seem like a joke Imo.

We'll see what Singer does for the sequel. I'm in the opinion that SR didn't completely butcher these characters, and there's still time to save face with proper tweaks.FaT_tONle said:The only thing is you can't adapt a version of animated film into live action... Lex Luthor was different in the toons... the plot just meshed with that sort of Luthor... movie Luthor is a little more tricky... not to mention Lois Lane... who is completely different in Singer's version... its not the same characters we are dealing with here... but the toon did a magnificent job
What exactly is your point here? Is there something in particular about that film, that can't be translated to live-action?Eros said:you are aware worlds finest was an animated movie?![]()
