Sutter's new series after SoA has been announced!

The Bastard Executioner - FX Orders Pilot from Kurt Sutter

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has lined up his follow-up series to the hit FX drama, and it is as far from SOA‘s contemporary Central Valley biker community as they come (but probably just as violent). Sutter has teamed with Imagine’s Brian Grazer for The Bastard Executioner, a period drama project, which has received a pilot greenlight from FX. The Bastard Executioner tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward III’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all.

Sounds like SoA: Medieval Style. ;)

Lol when Sutter said he was developing a prequel to sons of anarchy I didn't think he meant he was gonna show Jax's great great great great great great great great great grandfather.

The reason I think Tara didn't fight back that much is because it sort of dazes you when you get hit in the face with a ****ing iron.

Maggie Siff explained in the SoA post show that in the scene Tara saw the look on Gemma's face and immediately knew something wasn't right. That's why she tried to run. Tara had stood up to Gemma in the past and went toe to toe with her physically. This time, she knew Gemma had snapped.

Thinking about the Jax/Gemma situation kind of makes me want to see it come to the same end as BSG gave the Chief/Tory after he figured out she killed his wife. Just quick, absolutely blinding rage, immediately followed by death. I feel like the assumption would be that he would come up with some elaborate plan or that the reaction wouldn't be immediate. I want a curveball. No taking it to the table, nothing. I want him to be so unhinged and appalled and betrayed that he just walks into the same room with her and puts a bullet through her eye as everyone else's jaws hit the floor.

Jax is going to choke every last drop of life out of Gemma. Count on it. No guns, no blood, no mess. Slow, quiet, and painful.

That works for me as well.

reading your post and then immediately seeing your avy scared the hell out of me.

For all the Juice hate, I still find the guy very sympathetic. He's just a guy who's not fit for that kind of life and he tries to compensate for it by doing jax's (used to be clay's) dirty work. The hole he keeps on digging for himself gets deeper and deeper.

Also, I don't want it to happen at all but I have a strong feeling that either chibbs or bobby will die next season.

I can see Bobby either ending up with the gavel or dying.

Just finished it, bananas stuff! Classic Sutter. Saw the deaths coming, but I didn't expect the first one to be quite so brutal...I should have known better! Doesn't look like Jax will be going to prison after all. Can't wait for next season, there's so much set up, it's going to be brilliant to watch it all fall down.

Yeah, I walked into the finale about 98% certain that [blackout]Tara[/blackout] wasn't going to make it to the end credits.... but the way it happened.

CCH Pounder better be back next season, too.

Me too! I think she will be, they don't really have any leading characters on the right side of the law left, other than her.

She's easily been the best addition to the cast in a really long time. Probably the best at all. Henry Rollins was great in season 2 though. Titus Welliver was really good as well

and let's not forget Ally Walker as that b**ch, Agent Stahl... she brought some really interesting stuffs into the show with her addition to the mix... and the way that SHE bought it at the hands of Op was a truly satisfying conclusion to all HER scheming and conniving...

This show has had awesome characters and cast members.

Does anyone else think Jax might blame Tara's death on Nero? Especially after the comment about karama getting back at him.

This was me, all the way. I expected a shooting not a ...whatever that was. :( Too brutal.

That's exactly what I was expecting. The set up was there, and I fully thought it would be a bullet, especially when they didn't show [BLACKOUT]Katey Segal's[/BLACKOUT] hands in the first few shots. Then I suspected drowning (for obvious reasons!), but never saw the BBQ utensil coming.

Tara's death was the karma Nero was talking about. A mother for a mother.

Karma doesn't work in a cycle. It's an eye for an eye.

I wouldn't call that an eye for an eye. More like old testament repayed seventy seven times kinda ****. The druggie mom was a druggie, her son was dead, her boyfriend was dead, and she was likely to kill herself with drugs eventually anyways. And when she died she was doped out of her mind and was smothered. Tara was a mother of two trying to save her boys and she was drowned and had a pair of carving forks driven into her head repeatedly before she died. That's an extremely painful way to die. In a past life I insulted a mans grilling technique. Those things sting a bit.:p
