Spider-man 3 and 4 back to back?

That rumour is so old. Plus, Raimi has stated that they haven't even discussed a fourth movie. If they were doing them back to back then it would be plotted out already and most likely have filmed some of it by now.

What if they are shooting extra footage, but with no sequal in mind yet.

Ok dunst said she doesn't want to do anymore. And there is some question weather they'll be able to go on with out her. Maybe they are filming extra footage to sell the ideas for 4 to producers. Backers might be walking away, going how can you make a quality film with out the principal cast? So they film spidey fighting vulture (one of the rumored costumes) and use it for selling for to finacial backers.

I'm not a hollywood poducer, so I don't know, but it's a possible answer.

Sam Raimi has, according to UK tabloids, that despite pressure from the studio Spider-Man 3 and 4 "will not be adhering to the current trend and filming back to back." He said filming one movie is stressful enough without the pressure of two at the same time. Allegedly, Raimi talked to Richard Donner - who did something similar with Superman and Superman 2 - who talked him out of even considering it. Raimi has allegedly confirmed that he is working on a story arc for the franchise that will evolve over 5 or 6 movies and that he hopes to be at the helm for all of them.

Me too...Matrix Revolutions sucked and it just seems like the second movie or both movies are rushed in a way. I loved the LOTR but I wonder how they could of been different had they been filmed 3-4 years apart.

lotr was different, it already had the story and plot mapped out, where as spider-man's story would largely have to be created from scratch needing more time to properly be prepared instead of rushing out an unfinished story like fox di with X3

I'd say if they're going to make a 4th let's stick to that 6 movie deal that was in talks and spread out the remaining good villains, why waste them all in one movie...let's have lizard and possibly black cat in one movie, vulture & possibly electro or mysterio in another and make the final movie with carnage and possibly bring back venom

toxic wouldnt work in the movies carnage might be to violent for the spiderman movies i think sam if he is still doing the spiderman movies after spiderman3 he should make the lizard in spiderman4 then have all the other old villians in the rest of the spiderman movies then in the last one have spiderman fight venom once and for all.
