That's my point lol. It's just out of all the things to criticize he picks that? Just kind of silly.

But think about it. You're criticizing his supposedly "silly" criticism. So...doesn't that make your criticism...even MORE silly?

It's lighting dude. Tell me how the "splotches" on the mask in that high res photo disappear in clearly better lighting displayed in the EW photo? And even if you are correct, what a ****** thing to nitpick about.

I don't know if you can read or process images, but I posted a second image that WAS brightly lit, hi res and from EW. But I'll tell you how they disappeared, as people have pointed out, they're probably dirt and grime from whatever fight scene he's just been in.

If it is just scuff marks from a fight, then I can dig it. Chill out bro, I am completely fine with this costume when there has been several months of *****ing about everything else. It was an observation, that if it isn't true, i'm perfectly happy with. Even if it was true, I'm not so hyper sensitive a fan that it would in any way break the movie for me, which seems to be the attitude of other people.

This movie isn't really on my radar anyway. I've got virtually no faith in the Sony or Fox superhero films anymore, so I find them not worth getting emotionally invested in, then if they turn out to be good like X-Men First Class, it's a great surprise rather than a huge let down. I only came back in this thread because I actually quite like how Spidey looks, the way he's posing and his acrobatic body type seems like a great recipe for portraying some iconic Spidey imagery.

The main reason for my concern about it possibly being an attempt at being 'edgy' is since we've seen no trailer or anything, we still don't know what tone they're going for. I think being interested in the tone is a damn sight more justified than spending months complaining about lining on his shoes, but whatever floats your boat. Also, as a side note, saying it's too small for me to be nitpicky about? If it was a big deal, it wouldn't be nitpicky. Everything people is talking about at this stage is small fries because we only have images to go by. How is scuff marks any more nitpicky than colouring on a damn belt or the way his emblem looks?

Ok, I'm a lazy ass who doesn't wanna read things over, especially when it comes to part 4......what's in his eyes again?

Ugh, I hate it when posters initiate something and then act like they're being the reasonable ones. Forum logic.

Fine, it's dropped. I'll cease my clearly unbearable ways and try something i've never done before, reasonable discussion... It's going to be scary and new for me...

So what sort of look do people want for Lizard?

I believe it's a joke from SM 3 days, about Venom being in Spidey's eye.

Dude, I admitted I was being stupid at the top of this page. Drop it.

And for the Lizard, I want him big and mean. Don't care if he has the labcoat/pants look or not I just want him to be fu***** vicious.

So big? Because I wonder if they'll make him that much bigger, physically, like he was in the comics or if he'll be more like a human sized Lizard monster. I'm pretty curious to see what he looks like. I hope it's more than just scaly dude. Do we know if it's CGI or prosthetics? Have they said that?

the only thing I want from him is he must be bad ass in battle, kicks the spidey ass!! :awesome:

It's all cool Spider-ManHero, best not to return to the scene of the crime :P

Also, with Lizard being one of the quintessential sympathetic Spidey villains, does this mean we'll get even more people complaining?

"Hoo Cars?!? Y can't he just be EV1LLL!"

Look at this image

They've made the red part all grimy, with dark stains on it. It just comes off as making the costume look intentionally dirty.

Look at the shoulder... There is still a weird, splotchy colouring effect going on there

I see your point, but I think it more has to do with Spidey getting bruised up from battles than the suit purposely looking darker. I had heard once that they wanted to make the suit look bright for a reason infront of the 3D cameras, so maybe the black marks are just battle wounds.

Looks Amazing in all the pics.

Totally agreed. I'm just happy that the overwhelming hatred towards this new costume is mostly over. But I have noticed that most of the GA have still trouble accepting the costume. I wish that the trailer will make people more optimistic

When the first picture of the costumer was released, I was excited but a bit skeptical, just because it seemed so radically different. Not in the way that I hated it, but just in that it wasn't what I was expecting. Seeing the suit in these new pics, however, it's growing on me. It actually doesn't look bad at all. It definitely sets itself apart from the costume in the Raimi trilogy and there's nothing wrong with that.
