:D It was better in SM1.

It's all cool Spider-ManHero, best not to return to the scene of the crime :P

Also, with Lizard being one of the quintessential sympathetic Spidey villains, does this mean we'll get even more people complaining?

"Hoo Cars?!? Y can't he just be EV1LLL!"

No, the lizard is meant to be a sympathetic villain, but sandman has always been mostly just evil, that's why the transition to sympathetic villain was weak and felt akward

When it comes to sympathetic Spidey villains, the lizard is definitely best at being one

So big? Because I wonder if they'll make him that much bigger, physically, like he was in the comics or if he'll be more like a human sized Lizard monster. I'm pretty curious to see what he looks like. I hope it's more than just scaly dude. Do we know if it's CGI or prosthetics? Have they said that?

I obviously don't want him to be like HUGE, but I want him to be bigger than Pete/Spidey for sure. Big enough to be imposing, but not so big where Spidey can't inflict a whole lot of damage on him without thinking outside the box.

And from one set photo it looks like it could be a combination of CGI and prosthetics. Can't say for sure though.

Sandman was never 100% evil. Hell, at one pointi n the comics, he turned good.

I really liked sympathetic Sandman in S-M3, but that's just me. It was a nice twist on the character.

Even though I'm basically fine with the new costume and some changes and I actually would love to see it in action to get a better look at its funtionality, silver shoes do still bug me as well as the mask's eyes.

I still believe they could have gone with bigger eyes, as it looks more appropriate. The pics before were modified by me, as I increased the size of each lense. I am very bad at photoshop, so I decided to use simply paint in order to show what I am talking about.

I dunno. The large eyes are just too weird looking. I'm glad they kept the eyes relatively small.

Your photoshopped eyes are WAY too big. There's no need for him to look like one of the 1950's "little green men".

I would have preferred larger eyes as well (hell, I wanted Ultimate eye pieces), but I'm still happy with the ones we have so long as you can clearly see in the movie how much more rounded they are than the previous eye piece.

I was never a fan of Ultimate eyes. I'm glad Raimi stuck to the smaller eyes (another reason his suit is the best) and the eyes on Webb's costume as well. That's one of the positive things I can say about Webb's costume.

I think the webs were like that because it's easier to animate, like how in The Spectacular Spider-Man, he had very few webs for that same reason.

The back thing is weird. It barely phases me, like I don't even see it unless I concentrate in it. I'm surprised it bugs you so much.

I'm even more surprised that it can ruin the movie for you.

It's because you're a rational human being.

Seeing the suit in that crouching position, I like it even more. The way the red and webbing is positioned for me makes the suit have more movement. Also the texture and the less raised webbing make his suit seem more bug like. It catches the like and makes it look like a shell but also wet/slick at the same time.

That being said.........still needs a damn belt. With him having mechanicals. He's gotta need some place to put the cartridges.

Also how does he stick to walls with those damn shoes? The bottom of his feet are a good inch or two away from the bottom of the shoe.

Someone actually posted the reason for that last part.

"Spider-Man's exposure to the mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of his engrams resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Spider-Man's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Limits to this ability seem to be psychosomatic, and the full nature of this ability has yet to be established"

So basically Spider-Man body can attract a force of 7 tons a finger, which is why he can stick to things through clothes and shoes.

I like the suit but there is something about his body... he looks almost as if he is naked with the suit painted on him:wow:

It looks much sleeker, I agree. I think the naked idea comes from the lack of a muscle suit. The Raimi suit had the muscle suit which added a layer between Tobey and the costume. Plus, the raised webbing added a sense of dimension. The indented webbing of this suit does the reverse, it makes you think of what's underneath as opposed to around it. But, most people in tights look naked, so in reality...wouldn't Spidey look naked? :wow:

Bold is a joke.

The only place I can agree with you on that is his legs. The blue parts, specifically. The suit is pretty tight.

I wouldn't say it was better in Spider-Man, it just made sense in that movie because they were going with the route of Peter wrestling. This movie doesn't seem like they're doing that, so with Peter wearing street clothes and just his mask makes sense.

Plus, that pose is badass.

Costume looks effin' awesome.

Indeed. I've just stopped by at the Spidey boards thrice times today just to check out the suit
