Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia Trilogies Coming To PS3?

I really hope they're porting the Xbox versions, which were far superior.
They didn't with the PoP trilogy (some extra modes in WW) and that's ok, but here I really don't want them to drop the ball.

I dont see why they would port the Xbox versions. These HD collections are simply PS2 games with updated textures and trophy support. I dont see them taking versions from different consoles and putting them on here for a variety of technical reasons

The games are out already. They're just HD ports of it, with trophies. They don't look as nice as the GoW HD versions, but still, they look nice.

I was wondering if the mods could rename this thread and just let it be a general thread for the PS3 HD remakes. The next collection has been announced and it will be Tomb Raider Trilogy. Dont worry, it contains the good games

Crystal Dynamics has confirmed it will release a Tomb Raider Trilogy collection for PlayStation 3 this coming March.

The pack contains high-definition versions of Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary, both of which will have trophy support, as well as the PS3 version of Tomb Raider: Underworld all on one Blu-ray disc.

The product listing for Tomb Raider Trilogy originally appeared on Amazon Germany today and was quickly confirmed to be real by Crystal Dynamics' Karl Stewart over Twitter.

I was going to create a seperate thread, but may I suggest we get a mod to change the title of this one to "The Classic's HD Thread" or something like that?

Tomb Raider shall be awesome. So long as they fix that damn glitch on Underworld that prevented me from getting my Platinum.

I actually didnt see the Tomb Raider one coming and its shocking that they are packing it with a PS3 game. Its for the best as the other PS3 TR game was Angel of Darkness and it sucked.

I really would love a FF collection which brings FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII to the PS3. I probably wouldnt have time for that but I loved those games. Anything with 3 seems like fair game. I can see a DMC collection with the upcoming reboot on the horizon.

heck Square-Enix should release a Kingdom Hearts Collection to tide us over till KH3 comes since that wont be released anytime soon. KH, KH2 and KH: Chains of Memories. I never played the last one but loved the other 2

The interesting thing about the Splinter Cell games, is that even though I own and have played all of them (on the Xbox and Xbox 360), that the PS2 ports should have extra levels.

I think I remember hearing that some of the Splinter Cell games had a bonus level exclusive to the PS2, so it'd be interesting to finally get to play them.

The prospect of having trophies for Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory makes me giddy. Yeah, giddy.

I'm torn on the TR trilogy. On the one hand, there (mostly) fantastic games, trophies are always good, and as these HD sets go, this is probably my favourite so far. However, the fact that the set doesnt include the 360 Underworld DLC, and that I already own Underworld, is kinda swinging me towards not buying it.

The Splinter Cell HD Collection is probably at the top of the list for me. I'm really looking forward to that.

The Prince of Persia collection would have been great on a retail disc for me...but I'll probably download them eventually.

yea I'm definitely highly anticipating the splinter cell collection, gonna be aweome playing thru those games again, and call me crazy, but after playing the PoP trilogy, I honestly believe that both warrior within and the two thrones are better overall games than sands of time, 2 thrones being the best of the bunch to me, and I think the waaaay better combat of warrior within more than makes up for the prince's attitude change from the first game

$40, on one disc...all three with HD and trophies....sounds fantastic to me.

I'm still curious to see what happens with the co-op or the multiplayer.
