To be fair, JD and Patrick were under order of Orci with..whatever they had to write for him.
For those who've seen it, is the film a complete story?
I only ask since I find it weird that Paramount let out that Hemsworth will be back this early.
In the original timeline, who takes over the Enterpreise when Kirk and his crew moved on. I guess in-between the show/cartoon and the movies?
Ditto to this. I have no problem with Hemsworth being in the next one and am looking forward to see how him and Pine play off of each other.Or they are thinking they want to have some fun with time travel. I think it would be interesting to see Pine's and Hemsworth's characters together.
How the heck does that even happen? [Blackout]Did he get bit by an alien bug and mutate or some ****? [/Blackout]
This is confusing.
Also, Hemsworth is confirmed being back!

Hopefully its just flashbacks or something like that and not time travel.
Please no. It's not necessary. DOFP worked because it had so much continuity going on it got confusing. These movies have had a steady stream over the past seven years where people have a good idea of how it goes.
What it seems you're saying is that they could reboot some of the reboot. Which is horrible. But it's not something I'd put past Paramount. God... I'm already having horrible images of Kirk and his father travelling back to the events of the first movie. "And that's where things changed for me. My destiny. Forever. Now you must choose yours."
