Well, I know what version I'm getting.

If any of you got the Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol Best Buy Exclusive Blu-Ray, this set is essentially the same thing.

They've taken the special features that's housed on the regular Blu-Ray combo set and placed them on the second Blu-Ray disc, along with the exclusive 30 minutes of special features that only Target stores are getting.

So, the film is be by itself on the first Blu-Ray disc and the second Blu-Ray disc is going to have all of the special features.

Prefer this than the regular Blu-Ray combo set.

Do you guys think STID will get nominated for anything at the Golden globes or the Oscars?

So will the 3D Blu Ray set come with any additional features that will NOT be in the Blu Ray and DVD set?

Oh so it's not from just one guy? You're probably right, then. Troll isn't the right term if the group is that big.

Uptight, self-serious basement-dwellers that despise change is probably more accurate. :o

Eh, everybody knew hardcore trekkies weren't going to like the new movies, but JJ & Co went well out of their way to not step on their toes and preserve their precious continuity.

And yet they're still *****ing about it. It's not even complaining about change. It's "I don't like this thing that you like because it's different from what what I like". Ugh. UGH!

You see that the 2009 film is number 5 on that list, right? Clearly this isn't an anti-JJ thing.

Is it me or did Pine bulk up a little bit?

Pretty much.

I've got a Trek fan who, like most of them, thinks that the general population is too dumb for ST and that the JJ movies dumbed it down for the sake of money.

Attitudes like that are the reason they are mocked incessantly.

I'm a huge Trekkie and have no problem with the JJ Abrams movies. The new film series has given the franchise a fresh breath of air and brought it back to life.

Now that more people are interested in Star Trek, I think the chances of getting back a new Star Trek TV series are higher.

A new Star Trek TV series set in the original timeline would be sweet while having the movies continue to be the new JJ timeline.

actually I read somewhere that one of the reasons JJ left for Star Wars is because he wanted to make the new movies into a bigger franchise...tv, comics and games...and the powers that be said no.
