I think he didn't like having an attractive young woman as his yeoman

and in the original series:
yellow was command
Blue is science and medical
Red is engineering and target practice

Fixed. :)

Any news about this film?

Yeah: Khan ain't in it. (Thank god.)

Simon Pegg: It’s Not Khan

Today Simon Pegg is profiled in the UK’s Telegraph. His new movie A Fantastic Fear of Everything opens up in the UK on June 8th, but the article also covers other aspects of his career, including Star Trek. The article quotes Pegg on his fellow Brit, and co-star. While Pegg confirmed that Cumberbatch is playing a bad guy, he didn’t give any details. Here is an excerpt:
Pegg is full of praise for Cumberbatch’s baddy, whom he describes [as] “not just another disgruntled alien. It’s a really interesting… sort of… thing,” he squirms. “Obviously I can’t talk about it.”
While not wanting to get specific, Pegg did flatly deny reports and rumors that Cumberbatch is playing Khan…
“It’s not Khan,” replies Pegg, annoyed. “That’s a myth. Everyone’s saying it is, but it’s not.”

I'm surprised they kept the Starfleet space pajama outfit. Then again they also had officers in mini-skirts, so there you go.

I'll give Enterprise that, if nothing else. People were dressed in a way that wouldn't make an alien snicker.

Just watched the first one. Forgot how much I liked it. Really looking forward to this one.

Remember that means nothing.Zach Snyder once claimed Zod wasn't going to be In Man
of steel.

Pegg once climed Star Trek wasn't a reboot. While there was some truth to that It wasn't
the whole story.

TrekMovie Is pretty good when they post spoilers on their site.

I heard they're friendly with the writers?

Yes, history has taught us that fanboy blogs and the Internets know more about film production than the actual actors and directors who are on set, who are all liars and misinformation peddlers :o

People working on movies. Will lie to protect spoilers. We shall see. If this is true or not

TrekMovie Is pretty good.Just because something doesn't come from official sites doesn't mean It's a lie. Both Bryan Singer and Hugh Jackman lied about WOlverine cameo
In first Class.Liem Neeson once claimed he wasn't In The Dark Knight Rises then the studio broke he indeed was doing a cameo.Marion Cotillard claims she Isn't Talia In The dark Knight rises where we have set pics that disprove that comment.Zach Snyder outright lied about Zod In Man of steel.

TrekMovie was the site that broke almost all spoilers when It came to first film.

I don't understand where all this negativty about Khan Is coming from.He Has been used twice on screen. The Last time was 30 years ago.The entire point of the alternate timeline was to allow them to use the original series characters.People were crazy If they
thought past villains would never be used.

If they really wanted to end false rumors why not tell us who these new cast members are playing.Untill they do I will trust TrekMovie. Now If Trek Movie tells their sources were wrong then I will accept It.

That was an Interview not one of their reports.A lot of people who comment at the site don't buy this.

This screams like trying to quiet down reports. Why Is he even commenting on rumors.
I already pointed other times filmmakers outright lie to keep things under wraps. If they were so worried about rumors all they have to do Is release who the actors are playing.

I dunno if it is Khan or not. I certainly do not take anything being said as gospel (as they would want to keep it under wraps) but at this point they are beating the "Not Khan," horse so hard that all involved are going to look very silly if in three months they release a teaser that reveals that it is in fact Khan. If the production team is just keeping it under wraps, they have overplayed their hand entirely.

I personally am hoping that Cumberbatch is a Section 31 operative. An element of the Federation and humanity as the antagonist would be awesome, IMO. Plus it would be something fresh and fun as Section 31 and the expanded workings of the Federation weren't really explored until The Next Generation and beyond, so we've never really seen Kirk and co. in that type of story.

Personally, I'm also betting on this being misinformation and Cumberbatch is playing Khan.

I mean, we know from those one set pics awhile back that he appears to be playing a human or extremely human looking alien, who is also capable of standing toe-to-toe with Spock in a fight. And the fact that they seemed to initially focus exclusively on finding a Hispanic for whatever the role is points in the direction of Khan, IMO.

I'll give Enterprise that, if nothing else. People were dressed in a way that wouldn't make an alien snicker.

And Enterprise also had some of the most boring outfits with everyone just dressed in the same colour and looked more like airforce mechanics in their overalls/ jumpsuits.

I like the bright primary colours from the original and am glad they kept the colour scheme and basic design. I wasn't particularly fond of the red jacket look they adopted from Star Trek 2 onwards either, for the same reason as not liking the Enterprise outfits. They all looked the same and rather boring too.

The OS and new movie definitely had the best costumes.

I'm tired of all the rumors and unrumors. Wake me up when there's a trailer. :o

Well admittedly, TNG wasn't bad, and at least similar enough to the original series. But I still don't think TNG's uniforms were on par with the original. Certainly not the women, that's for sure!

I always really liked the uniforms in DS9 season 5 and up.

while the Enterprise uniforms were dull...thats how we dressed in the Navy...we have blue jumpsuits that we wore only when we were out to sea...the red jacket from ST2 looked like a dress uniform and not something they'd wear all the time

So they are keeping the colors for the next film? I thought they were doing the gray?
