Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Has anyone been trying the challenges? Some of them are pretty hard to get a Gold medal on.

I gave the demo a try, but I was no more impressed by it than I was with Force Unleashed 1. I'm always surrounded by enemies shooting at me from offscreen while I try to fiddle around with the camera and my attack buttons. It's not a very intuitive experience.

I've got to say: I think Starkiller looks pretty ridiculous. He looks like a typical grimy, hollering "let's appeal to hardcore gamer" character that has become so prevalent in this this generation of gaming. Man, when was the last time you got to play as Luke Skywalker in a game?

Yeah so I beat the game and both endings just pissed me off royally. Just like what the **** guys, give us a solid ending.

The game now, in hindsight, has very little replay value compared to the first one. The first Kamino level and Cato Nemoida are the only levels I revisit. Salvation is very boring and Kamino 2 is just a rehash and the dialogue between Starkiller and Kota is frustratingly bad. As I said I hope for some DLC to bulk up content. For now I'm goin back to TFU 1.

I may have found a site that claims they have an idea of what the dlc might be.

http://theforce.net/latestnews/story/The_Force_Unleashed_II_DLC_Uncovered_134753.asp

"DLC info was found in the game's archives. I went through it and collated what I think is going to be in it:

•Endor level. Evil Starkiller turns up in the Rogue Shadow 2.
•Fight Ewoks, Leia, Han, Chewie and an AT-AT.
•3 types of Ewoks - rocks & slings, spears and gliders
•3 new challenges
•2 new costumes including Darth Maul
•2 new saber crystals, yellow and silver
McQuarrie costume could mean a Vadar skin. I can't remember if he was already playable in TFU2.

The Region screen for the Endor level makes mention of the second Death Star with the Emperor's throne room."

So the dlc will just be some fan service levels, nothing that will actually flesh out the incredibly weak plot...

They should release both games on one disc, fix the laughably broken gameplay and then maybe they'll have a title worth 60 bucks

If that is the case, screw it. I knew they'd do the cheap idea of expanding the dark side ending. At least expand the middle of the story some, and then we really would anticipate the third game. But oh joy, more Dark Starkiller bull****.

I hear ya brother, I dont understand why they insist on going with the dark side ending when technically it doesnt happen. I really do wish there were more middle levels after kota is rescued. I really couldnt stand that vader fight at the end ethier, it went on way too long and became really boring after a while, especially the last bit where infamous.... I mean starkiller looks like a blue figure walking around cause the developers felt the need to cover him in electricity. also did anyone else feel that when vader has juno by the throat demanding starkiller to join him again that they could have easily had the story go on another 4 hours?

Thos were my thoughts Marvelman2006, just hold her prisoner some more and I was also wondering how come Sidious is no where to be seen?

thats a really good question too, I wondered if maybe since kamino was so far away from coruscant that maybe the emperor wouldnt be able to reach there within the given story but still not even a cameo? I would have liked to have seen what the emperor would have done if he found out about vader making jedi clones left and right. see this is my point you normally dont notice plot holes, empty stories like this but since this game is so bad overall you do. I just dont understand how people that make big bucks a year come up with such crappy storylines but true fans on here have much better and more ambitious ideas that would make for a better game. Even the episode 3 video game for the ps2 was more fun then this game.

The episode 3 game is severely under rated.

Do the extra costumes show up in the cutscenes this time around?

Has anyone found all the holocrons?

Does anyone know where you can see how many of them you have left?

Ugh... way to go cheap on us and give us yet another lame-o "expanded dark side ending".

This game lost me at Dagobah. Up until that point, I was almost aghast that the critic's gave this game a poor review. Up until that point, it was on par, if not better than, the first game.

But after you arrived on Dagobah for what seemed like 2 minutes, it was all downhill. It's almost like the game ran out of idea's from there on. For example, why put Boba Fett in the game if your not even going to fight him? I still hold out hope for a third game thats as good storywise as the first, but they will have to pull something very special out of the bag.

Agreed, I really dont get the yoda and fett cameos at all. Yoda is suppose to be in a secret hiding place yet kota makes it seem like hes hosting a night club on dagobah the ways hes talking to starkiller. The fett cameo was just a cock tease to the fans, but still no level against him at all? I really cant imagine it being that hard to work at lucasarts to atleast just give them story ideas.

here are some ideas just to spit ball:

- Give us a definitive answer on if he is a clone or not, christ it was the main selling point of the game.
- If this is trully star wars cannon then give us a story that pushes the real movies foward, make starkiller a focal point of the rebellion like the first game did.
- Have the sequel be starkiller rejoining the rebellion to go to different planets to fight the empire and push us closer to a new hope.
- Have the cliffhanger be to this game starkiller joining the darkside again after juno accidentally is killed by kota during a saber kombat with vader and in turn set starkiller off. ya know a dark ending for once to a game that seems like all hope is lost.

these are just some ideas, there better then what these boy scouts came up with.

Starkiller's Adventure Continues in Force Unleashed 2 DLC

starwarstheforceunleashi.jpg

Starkiller returns in the first piece of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 DLC, and IGN has the exclusive announcement and first screenshots. To get the details on this latest addition, we sent over a few questions to LucasArts. They were answered by Gio Corsi, an Executive Producer at LucasArts Singapore.

IGN:The DLC takes place on Endor. Does this mean it is during Return of the Jedi? Will we be killing Ewoks?

Gio Corsi: It does indeed take place on the forest moon of Endor during the time of Return of the Jedi. However, we like to call this an "infinite storyline", much like the Hoth Bonus Mission from the first Force Unleashed game that gave us an alternate take on that iconic battle from the Empire Strikes Back. As Gamers and fans of the Star Wars universe, the infinite storyline allows us a "what if" moment that scratches an itch by rolling the dice with established Star Wars characters or scenarios. It's a pretty sweet opportunity. And yes, there will be battles with Ewoks!

IGN: Is this the first of many add-ons players can expect for TFU2? Where else might we be going as the evil Starkiller?

Gio Corsi: Who knows where the infinite storyline can take Starkiller, there are so many possibilities but right now we are focusing on the Endor Bonus Mission.

IGN: Will the DLC add new achievements and trophies?

Gio Corsi: Absolutely, there are a number of new achievements and trophies. One of the team's favorite is the "Sith Kicker Achievement" but I'll let you figure that one out for yourselves.

IGN: About how long can people expect the DLC to take them to play through? Also, do we get to use our leveled up character from the campaign?

Gio Corsi: The Endor Bonus Mission is comparable in length to the add-ons from the first game. As for the character itself, we leveled Starkiller differently for the DLC since this adventure falls into the "infinite universe." He does have the same abilities as he did in TFU2 which allows Starkiller to start kicking ass right from the get go.

IGN: Why does the DLC always assume players picked the Dark Side ending? Does this mean the light side ending to TFU2 is considered canon?

LucasArts: To be honest, we just thought it was a really cool avenue to explore. Take this bad ass Jedi, make him a true Sith and throw him into an established adventure and watch the sparks fly. It's going to be epic!

Along with the information on Starkiller's Endor adventure, which will be released later this year, we already received word about an upcoming character skin pack that will cost one dollar.

That looks pretty cool. I'm all for killing tiny man-eating teddy bears.

Well, it is official and now I am even more upset. But nothing can change it for now. I figure if they actually do work on TFUIII and make it good, I will more so consider it as TFUII and this past game TFU1.5 or something. Though $60 on a 1.5 has been hitting me as a disappointment more and more, especially since my family has gotten a new place, I can only spend so much to myself anymore, and I think my $60 could have been better spent. Should have waited till it fell to $20.

Speaking of, anyone play the Wii version? I hear it has a Smash Bros. style multiplayer.

Not impressed at all by that, oh wow we can kill some ewoks....... give me a god damn story lucasarts like you promised for tfu11.

wow, I was really looking forward to this game. All the dev interviews/diaries made it seem like the story would be like Empire Strikes Back.

When I read the novel, I did get the feeling that the game would have less "levels" than the 1st one, because Starkiller didn't really visit that many places.

I'm wondering, though..........do you think Hayden Blackman left mid-way because he knew that the final product/story was going to be crap?

Do you think the project suffered once he left?
