Moore's run opened a lot of doors for them, but I prefer Joe Casey's work. That guy is the definitive Wildcats writer, as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah, proof positive that there are no bad characters, just bad writers.
Well, that explains Promethea.
Even with Wildcats, it's like he put the bare minimum required thought into his stories and they still wound up 100 times better than anything the previous creators had done. Exploring the caste system of Khera and the politics between Daemonites and Kherubim was awesome, and it's so spectacularly obvious when you think about it, yet no one else bothered to do it in the previous 20 issues.I'm still highly amused how Moore just kind of waltzed into mid '90s Image/Wildstorm and said "It's alright kids, I'll fix this ****."
I mean, Supreme. My God.
hahahaha i think that would trump Cobra commanderDo you show up at Cons dressed in your Grand Dragon outfit?![]()
Bwhahahahahahaha! i want one! then i could beNo. I prefer the SS uniform.
Sieg heil!
I know right? Just because they're all mixed up in 90's excess doesn't mean they don't have years of awesome stories to read.

That's because it's Grifter in name only.
Imagine if you picked up a brand new #1 of Spider-Man, and instead of being the wise cracking Everyman you know and love, he's a male Super model who gets abducted by spider-aliens, given spider-powers, and shoots webbing out of his butt.
That's essentially what happened to Grifter.
