Mud Man

Today's.

Before I even saw the name, I thought, that guy should be called Mud Man.

Mud Man would be awesome for making pottery. :o

I got into GEN 13 kinda late. Picked up alot of their back issues from the discount bins. I like em !

Only one I know of is the chick in the middle.

The rest? Eh.

One of those books from the 90s i never got into. I was much more of a Generation X guy...

Totally. Her and Gabrielle... nobody's gonna tellme nothing was going on there. :hehe:

I watched the show sometimes when I was little, never read the comics, though.

By the end of the show you coulda kinda tell they were lovers.

They were? I always thought it was just occasionally alluded to but never actually clarified.

A quick Google basically throws up a bunch of Fan Fiction stories, and Wiki says:

"A subject of much interest and debate among viewers is the question of whether Xena and Gabrielle are lovers. The issue is left deliberately ambiguous by the writers during most of the show. Jokes, innuendo, and other subtle evidence of a romantic relationship between Xena and Gabrielle is referred to as "lesbian subtext" or simply "subtext" by fans. The issue of the true nature of the Xena/Gabrielle relationship caused intense shipping debates in the fandom, which turned especially impassioned due to spillover from real-life debates about same-sex sexuality and gay rights. Many fans felt that the sexual nature of Xena and Gabrielle's relationship was cemented by an interview given by Lucy Lawless to Lesbian News magazine in 2003. Lawless stated that after the series finale, where Gabrielle revives Xena with a mouth-to-mouth water transfer filmed to look like a full kiss, she had come to believe that Xena and Gabrielle's relationship was "definitely gay... there was always a 'well, she might be or she might not be' but when there was that drip of water passing between their lips in the very final scene, that cemented it for me. Now it wasn't just that Xena was bisexual and kinda liked her gal pal and they kind of fooled around sometimes, it was 'Nope, they're married, man'."

Ah. Just saw that edit. :)

Yeah, been years since I seen the show.....had to leave it ambiguous and s**t. :o

Maannnnnn! i tried to get into Gen 13 ( hahaha! i bought the 1st book cause it had chicks in bondage on the cover!:woot:) but i think it was waaaayyyy to hipster for me! never grew on me! and Xena i never ever liked! that freaking war whooop she had! she did it just 1 time and i was out!!

Never really cared for Xena, the show or the comics. Liked Hercules show though.

Maul should have been the Vader of the prequels, but importance-wise he rates only slightly higher than this guy, IMO:

If the Prequel trilogy can be summed up in just one image it's Darth Maul: Brimming with potential but ultimately a completely wasted opportunity.

Maul should have been the Vader of the prequels,.
Totally agree! That dude should've been the man!yet he went out like the lights in the superdome thru the superbowl!seeing that dude in the phantom mence trailer.I was this dude is going to kick soooo much ass, instead he was sorry!the only scene ( outta all those flicks worthwhile for me)is dude pacing back and forth looking all like "just let these doors open mother%^& I am going to be on you like white on rice!" Hehe

Darth Maul had potential, unfortunately he was underused & cut in half in the first movie, plus he was rarely seen in the movie. Now in the Clone Wars animated series they've somehow pieced him back together, but I just find the whole thing not plausible. He died & he should've stayed dead. :o

I don't mind Xena myself and I probably wouldn't know about her if Sam Raimi and his friends weren't involved. Plus, she was in the Army of Darkness comics for a while, which was kinda cool.

I don't have much to add about Darth Maul other than the fact that you don't see too many non-human Sith Lords, but I guess I could be wrong about that.

I liked Darth Maul in Insidious.:o

I got so hype about Maul and episode one, but was highly dissappointed. Maul had soooooo much potential. He still looks like a bad-ass, and is still on my top ten favorite villians list.

darthmaul looks too much like an evil dude, i would see him as a jedi instead: that would be surprising
