Sounds....interesting....I guess.

I don't know why but it reminds me of the plot of the old Laser Tag cartoon.

I can see that. I can also definitely see the Astro Boy influence.

I think it looks good. Too many modern comics are so joyless these days, I think I'm automatically drawn to anything that's not afraid of primary colours and characters that smile occasionally.

Today's character:

Zot

:yay:

He sort of looks like Johnny Quest in a Tron sort of world, at least by what I'm looking at on the cover above.

i dont know who that is but he reminds of the arcade game of this guy

Haha!

Zot to me looks like a grown up Speedball in space. It would be cool if they ever did a story where Nova is lost in space, and Speedball becomes a badass and goes to find him. I don't know anything about Zot, but I'm going to make up in my mind that he's Speedball just because.

From Wiki:

"Rupert Bear is a children's comic strip character created by the English artist Mary Tourtel and first appearing in the Daily Express newspaper on 8 November 1920. Rupert's initial purpose was to win sales from the rival Daily Mail and Daily Mirror. In 1935, the mantle of Rupert artist and storyteller was taken over by Alfred Bestall, who was previously an illustrator for Punch and other glossy magazines. Bestall proved to be successful in the field of children's literature and worked on Rupert stories and artwork into his 90s. More recently, various other artists and writers have continued the series.
The comic strip was, and still is, published daily in the Daily Express, with many of these stories later being printed in books, and every year since 1936 a Rupert annual has also been released. Rupert Bear has become a well-known character in children's culture in the United Kingdom, and the success of the Rupert stories has led to the creation of several television series based on the character. The character also has a large fan following, with such groups as The Followers of Rupert."

He looks like a fugitive from the page of Winnie the Pooh or some other Disney tale based on talking animals.

Rupert's a pimp.

Just look at that plaid scarf/slacks combo. The heels on those boots. The guy means business... :o

Saw a cartoon, liked it in the old days
Don't remember enough to care, don't think I will care even now that you brought him to my attention again

I'd rock that. I think I could pull that look off. :o

Finally saw Re-Animator a couple weeks ago. Absolutely loved it, so I just had to put this guy here. :hehe:

:hehe:

Re-Animator is a Horror Comedy from the '80s. Really big cult following.

Herbert West is basically Dr. Frankenstein meets Ash from Evil Dead.

And the movie is every bit as awesome as that sounds.

I'll need popcorn watching this
And ready my laugh-o-meter

Herbert West is a special kinda guy. He's a mad scientist that's not really mad. He just has a different sense of style than everyone else.

That movie was weird as &$'@! Not my kinda genre so eh!

^^ Same. I've heard it's a pretty good film, never gotten around to watching it though.
