It's not that I have a problem with supporting characters getting super powers. It's just the how of it. I mean, Carol Danvers got powers because she was in the general vicinity of Captain Mar-Vel when some s**t went down. That's okay in my book cuz if you get powers accidentally as a result of being involved in a superhero's life? Well, that's okay. That's believable. But when it goes down like Flash Venom, where the gov gets ahold of an alien suit that grants people super powers, then, out of all the 1,000's of injured soldiers, they just happen to give it to a dude who was a supporting character to Spider-Man. It just seems farfetched. And yes, I'm aware of the fact that we're talking about the goings on in a fantastic world with Norse Gods, guys who shoot concussive blasts of weird energy out of their face that could shatter mountains but can be held in check by a pair of red shades, and kids who get bit by radioactive spiders and don't die horribly, but I mean, come on.
