I guess she did dress more like a ten dollar ****e instead of her usual twenty dollars.

OH THATS RITE I WENT THERE.

Dammnnnn, where can I get a $10 ****e? (No crack addled b*t*hes either!)

$10 for the queen of a sovereign nation? Mail-order prostitution is getting better.

Damn, that's a good point. Streetwalkers it is, then. At least I can examine the goods beforehand.

Anyway he asks her to yield, she refuses and attacks him hand to hand (on account of the fact that he is totaly immune to her powers and she has no other option)

While I agree with the outcome. It should be noted, that Storm was pushed to win to the fight by nannites in her blood stream.

Thor had nanites in him, as well. Everyone at that Contest of Champions did.

Scorpions always do, they're ever so cute and cuddly.

I guess I'm saying My original answers stand even against the pack of you who read like Dacman by ignoring what has been written before to forward your opinion.

Thor has been beat before by folk with access to more power than he moves around with.

Thors power levels don't change with his location.

There is ONE Place where Storm Trumps Thor BASED on the two sentences above.

I don't see the point in arguing simply because you guys are stuck on "But he's a God!" when I've watched him get whooped by Sentinals and the juggernaut and waste 4 days fighting the Hulk.

I just take offense with being put in the same place as someone using no logic or posting any examples just because you disagree with me.

V.

Thor's power absolutely changes with his location. Mjolnir can manipulate energy and matter on a level comparable to the Silver Surfer. If more ambient energy is around, Thor gets more energy to play with. The problem is that in fights like this (I know it was a popularity thread rather than a fight thread, but it's clearly become a fight thread at this point), people take each character at their best, using all of their abilities the best ways they can. Thor has boatloads more power than a lot of his comics show, so people take that into account, whereas you're apparently just taking the instances where he's stood there like a jackass and taken a pounding rather than doing any number of things he could've done to handle that situation better.

Even in places like a galactic core, Thor can still absorb vast amounts of energy into his hammer. More than Storm can manipulate by far. He can then hurl it back at her or simply fry her with an energy blast while she is attempting to control the energy in the first place. Thor can also hurl heat and other energies than lightning as well, he just prefers lightning.

Not really. She was just desperate because her only other powers were clearly useless against him.

Or he could just wait and absorb whatever Storm throws at him. She can manipulate all she likes; Mjolnir can absorb all forms of energy.

It was desperation cause by an alien force.

Mjolnir, also called the mini-cosmic cube.

It would be interesting to see if Mjolnir could absorb the energy of millions of star and planets.:yay: Has there ever been a limit to it's powers

I haven't seen an upper limit to how much energy it could absorb yet.

Storm however has a limit to how much energy she can manipulate. Even in a galactic core she can still only manipulate a certain amount before her physical energy runs out.

Doesn't she just physically tire from manipulating large amounts of energy, too? It's rough on her, as I recall.

I've seen the hammer shattered,

I've seen it disintergrated,

I've seen it transmuted,

I've read nothing that says it's absorbing abilities have no limit and it would've been a different fight versus the cellestials or Galactus or even the surfer if it had no limit.

You accuse me of doing her at her best,.. then you guys give the hammer attributes NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN STAR LEVEL LIMITS TO.

C'mon,... when has Thor EVER MANIPULATED even the power of a small Star,.. let alone a cluster?

I'm pulling from the cellestial fight so check me on it,.. but the power he mustered for that was HARD for him,... and he still got whooped.

I'm not hating,... but this is sounding more and more like a "Hulk wins everything" kinda thread.

She has to expend energy from her body through her mutant power to contact and manipulate the external energies. The more energy she wants to manipulate the more of her own energy she has to expend. Energies at the galactic core and similar places seem to provide a high return but the principle still applies.

When Thor absorbs large amounts of energy it creates a strain on his willpower to maintain control. While he has yet to actually reach a limit he has shown severe strain at times. The hammer itself has on multiple occasions channeled his godforce which is great enough to defeat Galactus. This would seem to indicate that the limitation on Thor's energy absorption is the amount of will power that he can summon to control it. He has absorbed the equivalent of a major nuclear explosion I believe.
