This is regod@amndiculous. Even in this one place, since thor's never been there we don't know what he might be able to do with it, so moot point. He beat her with a kiss.
Even with popularity I still say thor wins. Yes storm has been in movies I know, but it wasn't the storm movie it was X-men. She didn't really do much in the movies. She certianly hasn't been popular enough to support her own stand alone book. People demand a Thor book, I've never heard much of a call for a Storm series.
QED = Thor always beats Storm. (it's not even close)
That just shows you don't read her comics,.. she had three sets of her own limited series if you don't include the one for her marriage.
Sorry to say that she holds the same position that all the movie characters hold over Thor - even Bobby Drake (Snicker) is more well known than Thor to the general population - let alone the "popular ones" like Jean Grey, Ororo Monroe, Nightcrawler, Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, the Hulk, and Logan.
The Actress has said that if they can show her a script that was good enough for the character that she would be willing to do a solo movie. Ms Berry had mild issue with Storm in the first Movie AFTER she read a few Xmen Books - She complained that the character was underpowered and out of character.
The Second movie was "better" but she still came across as someone a lot weaker. By the third movie they finally started showing her closer to what you might read,......
No heat,.. in "YOUR" opinion because Thor STARTED out with his own book back when Stan Lee was in charge - 20 plus years before Storm showed up,... it makes him more popular?
I've read more than a few years of Avengers History including the Space stuff including THOR.
At NO time does his powers Amp up or it is said his powers increased or he was stated as pulling power from nearby Stars. In fact,.. A Quinjet was given faster than light drive at one point by Thor putting The hammer into a slot designed TO PULL POWER FROM THE HAMMER. At no time is it even HINTED that the Hammer was getting the power somewhere else.
In Thors entire history his power has been "self contained" within himself and his tools, the hammer, the "Mo'Power Belt", his gauntlets, and those nasty Goats.
The advantage: He's Thor everywhere he goes.
Disadvantage : He can be beat BY BEINGS THAT CAN BRING MORE POWER TO BEAR AT HIS LOCATION.
This is clear to most that I talk to in person who in most cases can name book and storyline - but then I come here and get dragged into these "arguments" by folk who either don't know or don't care about comic history,.. or to be charitable - were not aware of what All the characters involved have gone thru.
Peace.
