Sci-Fi Stranger Things (Netflix) - Part 1

You know, it just occurred to me:

11 still hasn’t told any of Hawkins group that she was the one that sent Henry to the Upside Down and inadvertently created Vecna. Imagine the guilt she feels in thinking that through sending him there, all of the horrible stuff since season one could have been avoided. Lucas is probably going to be pissed and furious with her when he finds out and cause her to feel even more guilty. I could definitely see that being a point of conflict and create tension between her and some of the group.

I wonder how long the time skip will be if they commit to it. Before the ending I would've guessed maybe 3-4 years. Put the Party in their senior year.

But now I'm not sure at all. It has to be longer than a year right? I don't think they would specify that their could be a timeskip if it's only a bit longer than the timeskip between previous seasons

Yeah Butt

Doesn't some of the Group already know that? I mean Vecna did show Nancy his Origin so I assume Nancy Steve Dustin Max Lucas all knew that I could be wrong maybe Nancy didn't tell them everything we don't know

I don't think anyone is going to blame Eleven for that. She was only 8 years old when it happened and she didn't know what she was doing. She'll probably blame herself far more than any of the others would. If anything, she's probably still their hero for saving Max. Even though she was too late to stop Vecna from opening the portal and seriously messing Max up in the process, if it wasn't for her Max would have been gone forever.

These last two episodes were so, so good. Goddamn, this show hits me in the feels. I love these characters. I know the next season will be the last and it will be hard to let them all go.
I am reasonably confident after this season that they will nail the final season and end this show on a very good note. It’s been a great journey and fun watching these characters grow up. I look forward to Hopper and Joyce being more integrated with the main story and group next season.

They're in a bit of a tough spot with the way Season 4 ended, because I'm not sure how they could get away with a significant time jump with that kind of cliffhanger. It didn't end like any of the previous seasons where there was room to jump ahead; this was a deliberate setup for an epic, apocalyptic finale and they can't gloss over that to compensate for the kids aging out of their roles. But maybe there is a way.

I think I read the time jump comes in episode 3, I believe.

So, if this season was basically ESB/Infinity War, Stranger Things 5 will essentially be ROTJ/ROTK/Avengers: Endgame.

Don't quote me on that though. I think I read it somewhere but can't remember where.

I don't think they've planned that far ahead. They're only now getting started on scripts as far as I'm aware.

That I heard, but not anything specific regarding episode 3? Still not sure where you heard that tidbit.

Just give us a physical release of this whole thing, not wasting time and money on a VHS pan and scan thing that’s only cute for 2 minutes lol

I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped releasing physical Blu-rays for the show's individual seasons since it's a little suspect that we haven't gotten a season 3 Blu-ray set by now but I'd be disappointed if there was no Complete Series box set after season 5 hits.

That’s what I’m hoping for with the lack of Season 3 release, that they’re just waiting to release them as a whole set after Season 5.

But who knows with Netflix anymore.

The Target-exclusive VHS release of Season 1 is one of my favorite pieces of physical media I own. I would absolutely get a box-set of the whole series like that.

Binged volume 2 last night. Now that season 4 is complete, I can say that this was my favorite season of the series. It definitely overtook season 1 as being the best, IMO. I tried to avoid spoilers over the weekend the best I could but was spoiled by a google article that came up in my feed about the death of a certain character (the character’s name was in the headline). Oh well. Unless you stop going online completely, it’s pretty hard to avoid spoilers popping up if you don’t watch something opening weekend.
Don’t know why articles need to put names of characters dying in headlines so soon after release.

Finally finished volume 2 and I was ready to be a little disappointed about 90 mins but the last hour was great stuff.

Such a shame to lose a certain character who I grew to really like and poor Max suffered this season and didn’t end it all that well either.

This show hits emotionally like no other for me and the kids are such good actors they sell it every time. Can’t wait for season 5 but also dreading the end.
