Just noticed the tattoos on his right fingers. Spade-Index, Diamond-Middle, Club-Pinky and the ring finger where the heart would be, has a ring over it. And his left hand has rings in all of them except the ring finger.

It's Not a Hot Spicy scoop, but just thought it's pretty cool
well, eagle eyes man  Nice catch...

The pink details aren't eyes?

Dr Mist is my best guess now!

I wanted him to be Mist, but with this look I don't want anymore.

It's probably Tattooed Man. There was a Tattooed Man that was black, and he even appeared on a cartoon. And the original was part of SS.

Plus, I'm pretty sure a character named Tattoed Man would impress Ayer. :p

I never really had interest in Common or the character that he is playing in this film. I just hope that his role is a small one.

And yay... More tattoos. :whatever:

This is how costume design works on films.
The director and designer...sometimes the actor too...will discuss the character and based on how they feel the character should look will come up with some design cues.
The designer takes these notes back to his shop and comes up with several designs. The designer shows them to the director...the director either approves a design or gives tips on a design...."I like design #2 but let's make the symbol bigger" or mixes and matches "I like #1's cape but #3's cowl."
The designer then takes the notes and makes the suit.
So while the designers made the outfits they are not done without approval of the director.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say you've joined the development stage for the Cyborg film. :sly:

In any case, congrats Roach! :yay:

On the last few pages' tantrums and bickering: everyone is entitled to their opinion, and everyone else is entitled to disagree with it. The complaints about being "closed down" are unimpressive and, frankly, babyish.

Ayer's got a thing for tattoo's doesn't he? Every second character seems to be rocking them!

Common as Joker's Tattoo Artist.

If Common is Tattooed Man, then it is quite possible that all that ink provides some kind of recurrent motif, or even plot point, in the movie.

Remember folks, many fans hated Nolan's Batman suit (myself included), Joker's make up and scars, the tumbler or the horrible Bat. I don't like all the designs of this movie either, some choices seem weird or unnecessary, but I understand if some people are cool with them, is all subjective anyway.

If Common is Tattooed Man, that's fine and kind of ironic, from almost playing a Green Lantern (Justice League: Mortal) to one of his enemies.

God forbid a story about dangerous criminals might feature people with tattoos. It's not like any criminals actually have those things. :o

^ Most of my family has tattoos (so not just criminals, lol), I can see why people are getting after the ones on the face but I thought tattoos were really common place now.

Lol I hope that didn't come off as me suggesting that only criminals have tattoos, I just meant that a lot do. And to your point, a lot of people in general have tattoos. Even face and head tattoos are pretty common, regardless of how any of us may feel about them.

What I don't understand is getting upset over the quantity of tattoos that are going to be seen in the movie. I understand not liking them on The Joker or Harley, but it seems like some people are getting bent out of shape over the fact that more than two characters are going to have them. Who cares? I mean, who walks out of a movie and says, "Man, I wish there weren't some many characters with tattoos!"?

No worries, I didn't think you were suggesting that. I remember when I was a kid and we moved to a new church and our youth pastor had full sleeves. Like a giant cross on his right arm surrounded with scripture. My mom almost had a heart attack

Exactly. I am not in the least bothered by tattoos on characters that are not Harley and Joker. And even Harley's tattoos don't bother me as much as those on Joker do.

As it has been said, these characters are criminals, it is a rather common thing among them to be inked.

I thought people were complaining that Wonder Woman's tats were too small??

Maybe I misunderstood.

"So, you like tattoos, eh? Well, have all the tattoos in the world!"

I don't "dislike" or "like" tattoos, but it is Ayer's thing. The characters on Sabotage also had a lot of tattoos.

If Common is supposed to be Bronze Tiger or Dr. Mist, then I also won't like this look, not because those characters can't have tattoos, but because that looks is completely off for them. Specially for Mist.

It's off for Bronze Tiger, too, who I recall as rather puritan.

Common's tattoos are not a problem for me, nor are Harley's... still not overly sold on the Joker's look, but remembering back to the reaction to Ledger's reveal maybe we should've all just learned to sit back and wait for the portrayal on screen!

One thing that slightly bothers me is that with Common's costume reveal there seems to be a bit of a 'generic' look starting to take shape with the villains... maybe it's me being overly critical, but i'd love to see at least one 'costumed' villain... it's a very slight niggle, and i'm sure in the context of the movie all will be fine – Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman could be the catalyst for villains to dress more elaborately.

That's an astute point. Visually, at least, we can see a typology developing. I don't object to that if it flows from a broader theme.

Maybe the concept of branding and identity? These people are labelled criminals. Are they just that or is there more to them?

Technically it did. It's filming in studio now. We only caught a glimpse yesterday because they were outside on break.

This!!! Maybe if he's tattoed man, the Joker is mocking of his style? :hmm #Justspecultation.
