One of my favorite follows, but I'm sad for him that Leto wasn't in the movie more. I think he even got a tat of him.

#SuicideSquad was overall a fun movie. I loved Harley and Deadshot. The editing needed some work. I will get into it in my review.

Joker needed more time like wtf I don't wanna spoil anything but Joker and Batman has small cameos. Joker should of been the main villain
Twas what my friends say. They loved Leto and were mad he wasn't in more. One also didn't like how easy it was for them to take down the villian after all they could do

The #Joker... Animated series twisted with TDKR flamboyance. Perfect. Despite the cuts I believe he was used the right amount.

Now that I think about it. That was originally my expectation of Leto's Joker when he was cast.

I'm watching Arrow's Suicide Squad S2 and I'm finding it more enjoyable than what I just saw in the theater.

Really wanted to like Suicide Squad..

Tempted to watch Assault on Arkham but I feel that's just gonna infuriate me like I was after I watched DCAU's "World's Finest" after BvS.

The template was literally there for WB to just adapt those to live action and they would be raking in the money, and critical and fan praise.

If anything the movie version of Boomerang doesn't seem as bland as the one on Arrow.

Just looking around at some reactions, seems like most people at least liked it. Critics don't but the audience so far seems too, granted, people going to see it this early are probably mostly CBM fans, so who knows if that will continue. But right now it seems like the audience word of mouth won't be as bad as the critic reviews, at the very least.

Was the Wonder Woman trailer in front of the movie?

I'm going saturday.

I'm actually pretty excited. I want to have fun. I don't give a s***

Not a bad movie.
It had its flaws. Some editing choices that may have been the result of cutting scenes. Some soundtrack decisions i didn't care for. Some odd sentimental stuff here and there that may have come off better with more breathing room. Style choices that will work for some people and not for others.
But it was a good time.
I'm having a hard time rating it. Somewhere hovering between a C+ and B maybe.
I think a lot of people will like it. There's a lot to like. But I think maybe more time was needed to really fine tune it. That's my guess at the moment until I think about it some more.

Leto was fine as a minor character. The scenes that were there didn't give him much more than to add to Harley's story which is probably for the best.
I "get" why people think this version may not have enough of an edge. Most of his scenes were focused on his seemingly earnest desire to be with Harley. But part of me thinks that's just so the spotlight doesn't move away from Harley and the Squad.
You could also argue this version so far is more sociopath as opposed to psychopath.

Just got out and I liked it. The charm is definitely in the cast and I thought everyone delivered. Harley, Deadshot, and Joker are the standouts. And no, the film didn't need anymore Joker than what it had, he was there for Harley and that was fine.

I won't get a chance to see this 'til next week, but I'm most excited to see it for Waller/Viola. I love everything I've heard about her.

DarthSkywalker, have you seen SS already? :)
Nope, hoping tomorrow, but because I am going with my brother it is either Friday or Monday. He can't do it the weekend. The four big screens in our theater are showing it. They knocked everything to the other theaters. They are expecting a lot of people tonight and all weekend.

The critics are so, so, sooo wrong. This movie was absolutely phenomenal, and the sold out crowd in my theater was consistently engaged, responsive, and they applauded loudly at the end. They ate up every second of this. It was probably the most engaged crowd I've been a part of since TDK in 2008.

And to those hating on Leto's Joker, the crowd (and I) seemed to absolutely love him too. Everything about this movie was likable and satisfying from beginning to end. I have no idea what the world is smoking, but they're entitled to their opinion... but damn, I have no clue how anyone could dislike this film.

A high 9/10 for me, without question.

I'm going to see it tomorrow morning.

Romero doesn't get the credit he deserves for his portrayal. Both him and Julie Newmar really pioneered how future interpretations of their characters would be.

Romero was good, but I thought he got overshadowed a bit by the awesomeness that was Gorshin and Meredith.

What was the issue, is he annoying or just too hammy?
It's difficult to explain. Leto's performance just seems surface level to me and full of silly ticks. And I'm not even comparing it to past Joker performances when I say that. It just seemed like a pretty boy playing dress up to me.

I want to see the Dunkirk trailer on the big screen too.

That's a big motivation for me.

I've seen him described as like a rockstar on coke rather than the Joker. Is that accurate for you?
