Its a very nice poster. Just wish that Kara wasnt a giant floating head lol. Move everyone behind her cascading down her arms and it'd look much better.

The poster seems like Brainiac 5, Lena Luthor, Kelly Olsen, and Dreamer will play prominent roles than Kara, J'onn, and Alex.

It's like those floating heads comic covers from the 60s, 70s or 80s.

Kara should've been in the position where Lena is.

I mean, I'd be interested in more post-Daily Planet Cat if Calista came back. Because I'd love to see her and Kara finally be open with each other and acknowledge that Cat knows the truth. But that's literally the only reason I can think of to bring her back. Otherwise, yeah, a waste.

I’d love Calista back but I’d say the chances of that are basically zero. She doesn’t like to travel and I can’t see COVID restrictions making her more willing. What if some newsworthy event occurs around Prom at Midvale High that involves the sisters. Cat Grant covers the event and interacts with the sisters. Perhaps Kara and Cat have a bonding moment that becomes the reason Kara wants to work for Cat later.

What kind of insider role within Team Supergirl is she going to have? Is she going to have the Cisco/ Caitlin/ Harrison Wells type scientist role?

And will she throw another fit if she finds out that Kara has been keeping Superman's identity a secret as well? I hope she realises that this is not Kara's to share.

She’s a genius billionaire who’s already solved multiple problems for the Superfriends even as an outsider (even built Kara a life-saving suit), so I’m sure she’ll have no problem proving useful now that they can actually tell her things. Kara’s no longer with the DEO, so I’d imagine Lena will be providing many of their resources.

That’s a pretty solid trailer considering it looks like it’s only using footage from the first 2/3 of the first episode, lol. Also, if the way they’ve been treating Black Lightning is any indication, this might be the only episode promo we get til it goes back on hiatus.

I’m pretty sure all the bits with Melissa are footage shot last year. Remember the bangs are gone. if that’s a wig it’s the best one ever used in the Arrowverse nay all of CW. Their wigs are notoriously comically horrible. If they were able to use prior footage of Melissa that will only help compensate for her absence during the beginning of filming.

Alex is in her new vigilante hero suit but minus the glitter eye makeup as a mask. I think they were indulging Chyler’s IRL love of dramatic eye makeup and if it’s just once I’ll allow it. I remember someone said Alex’s new hero name had been decided on and would’ve been revealed, I expect they’ll do that in the primer.

All the other CW shows that had filming cut short ,except Batwoman, took the same number of episodes they were short to finish the prior seasons storyline then did a time jump and started the new storyline. If Supergirl does the same thing they could use the time jump as an explanation for Kara’s bangs growing out. Supergirl has an advantage in that they were only short ones episode which was apparently mostly filmed before the shutdown. I expect the primer will feel more like a season finale and S6E2 will feel more like a season primer.

I still have to watch about 8 episodes of season 5, (I just kind of lost interest) but it's really hard to go back after Superman & Lois. It has so much of that old DC CW formula. Even small things bother me now like Kara walking around all the time instead of floating/flying. I do want to finish it since I've been watching Supergirl from the start. I also don't like Kara's "new" look as Supergirl. The hair, the dark suit, the bright red lipstick...

But it's funny because the exact same thing happened with Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash. I think I just get tired of the CW formula after a couple of seasons and then I don't feel like watching that show anymore.

That's good to hear, that hair wasn't a good look.

Also I quit watching Supergirl last year. So it's not like Superman & Lois made me give the show up. I think season 5 just isn't that interesting.

Keep in mind that she’ll still have the bangs is the primer which is kinda S5E20. Supergirl was supposed to have 20 episodes last season and got 19 finished before the shutdown. They were rumored to have been days away from finishing filming the last episode. It looks like they’re using a lot of the footage shot last year in the primer. It’s one way to compensate for Melissa starting later than everyone else.
