Supergirl Supergirl General Discussion Thread - - - Part 12

Snapper's gone (I think "took a sabbatical" was the reasoning on the show). James runs CatCo's editorial side now.

Jimmy is still Guardian, though they scaled Guardian's appearances back A LOT in S3.

Maxwell Lord is somewhere back in CBS-land with General Lane.

haha. thanks.

Well, never mind.

'Supergirl's' Brent Spiner Exits as Season 4 Role Recast With Bruce Boxleitner

Supergirl is doing a little reshuffling ahead of season four.

The CW's superhero drama previously announced that Brent Spiner had booked a recurring role in season four, playing the key role of Vice President Baker. However, scheduling issues have forced the Star Trek grad to depart the series in order to attend to a family matter that conflicts with the production dates.

Sad to hear he's not going to be there but I hope everything is alright with his family matters.

Bruce Boxleitner though, he's good. Been a while since I've seen him in B5.

I follow Bruce on Facebook, and just read him posting about getting the Supergirl role. I was coming here to post that. I've been a fan of his for decades (met him at a con a couple of years ago...he was a real nice friendly guy)....looking forward to his being on the show.

Well that's a shame. But maybe they can have him show up later as someone else. Perhaps Brainiac now instead?

Sad news about Spiner but I've always found Boxleitner very watchable.

Maybe we'll get Melissa Gilbert showing up as well.

I really need to know what was so crucial that Flash/Supergirl had to switch timeslots.

Maybe it ends with Batwoman effectively taking place on Earth-38?

Tron! I'm not a Trekkie so I'm actually more excited about Boxleitner, lol.

Yeah, that's really weird. Nice that Supergirl gets to be the finale for once, though.

Good Luck Bruce, loved you in B5!
I wish Spiner well.

one of my fave actors froboth tron & the Babylon 5 series will be on super girl it seems.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is my LAST post here at this forum. Recent events regarding this TV show and the events of today and how I believe we as a nation are getting close to a major clash similar to the Civil War, I have posted a link to a page at my blog Bob's Box to which I have posted what I am calling...A Break-Up letter. It's a rant, the biggest I have ever done.

But this show's leftist politics and wanting to go topical on a Sunday when some people would be tired of the Sunday talk shows like Meet the (DE)Press(ED), This WEAK, DEFace The Nation and Fox SNOOZE Sunday, is the last straw.

Simply put, in the words of the late Roy Orbison...It's Over.

I wouldn't bother with those shows in the first place. :whatever: I watch Supergirl for the escapism. Yeah, they push political agendas, but I just don't pay much attention to them. It's easy if you just don't look into what they're preaching too much.

I don't walk pass a church and have a freak-out when I hear a choir singing godly songs. I accept that the church is there and that some people believe in an invisible man in the sky and then I carry on with my life.

Same principle.

Bye, enjoy your gay frogs...

If you don't enjoy politics in yours shows, stay away from Black Lightning.

Or Modern Family. Or Grey's Anatomy. Or NCIS (any of those series). Or Law & Order: SVU. Or any of the other comic book series.

Here's a thought: Name a current, scripted, non-reality, non-news program which does NOT touch upon a major social or political issue.

I'll wait.

‘Supergirl’: Anthony Konechny To Recur On Season 4 Of the CW Series

Almost Human alum Anthony Konechny is set for a recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of the CW’s Supergirl.

Konechny will play Agent Jensen, a DEO agent recruited by Alex (Chyler Leigh) who struggles to find his footing at the DEO. His character will be introduced in the season premiere on Sunday, October 14.

Unless there’s some sort of twist with the character to me just seems another character that’s gonna take the focus off the main plot of the show.

A version of Parasite, maybe?

EDIT: Never mind. I just remembered that they had the Rudy Jones version of Parasite in this show.
