Wow. Have they beefed up the shoulder padding? Or has Benoist been seriously working out? Her shoulders look huge in that photo, especially in comparison to her narrow waist. Maybe it's just the camera angle?

I'm glad you asked that. Try this picture of Melissa next to new Superman Tyler Hoechlin. Her arms are crossed.

If Kara were at the beach in a bikini and someone needed saving in an emergency and time was of the essence, would she change into her Supergirl costume first, or fly around in a bikini?

It would be nice to see Melissa Benoist do a scene like that. :oldrazz:

Squee! Overlap between Supergirl and Xena: Warrior Princess! And Benoist said that she wants to be Lucy Lawless! Completely understandable and cool! Although, Xena would judge Supergirl pretty harshly, especially when she saw Gabrielle admiring all of Supergirl's super abilities.

For some reason, I'm thinking you are not saying that because it would "save time" in the rescue....LMAO....

If Kara changed into her Supergirl costume, I would see it as being irresponsible of her because she's wasting precious time instead of just flying around in her bikini to the scene of the emergency. I'm only thinking of the people. :o

Yeah....ok DR....

Sorry, but that particular website won't show up here......

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim has revealed that Supergirl's (Melissa Benoist) new presence in the CW's DC Universe will heavily factor in to the networks four-show crossover event...
When Supergirl was announced to be moving to the CW for its second season, it was followed up by the news that all four shows would be a part of a mega-crossover event during the upcoming fall season. While details are still scarce on how Kara will arrive on the new earth from her current one, executive producer Marc Guggenheim (speaking at Comic-Con) revealed that her presence, along with a new threat, is what will instigate the events of the episodes. "It’s an external threat from outside the shows that will involve Supergirl coming over to The Flash, then Arrow then Legends of Tomorrow."

she can save me in a bikini. :o

It makes sense that Kara will be the one crossing dimensions, since doing it the other way would require every cast member from all of the other shows to come to "Earth-S".

I'm glad Supergirl will be the main focus of the crossover. Melissa is the most interesting actor anyway. But will she arrive on a Flashpoint world or will it take place after that is resolved? Or will that actually be the cause of the crisis?

I would say that Oliver is the most interesting character. He has had by far the most development, regularly straddles the line between right and wrong and is constantly growing and evolving, becoming more of a hero in the process and honouring his friends and families wishes along the way. All three leads are strong though, which is good. There are so many times on shows where my favourite character is one of the supporting characters, as I have found the lead character to be dull, but that has not been the case with these shows.

Now we know that Supergirl will be in all four parts and would make a lot of sense crossing over to the Arrowverse instead of the other way around. I wonder if any of her supporting cast will also be in all four parts as well. I wonder how well the creative teams of Flash, Arrow, and Legends will handle Supergirl.

Pretty certain Flashpoint is going to be well and done by the time we get to the crossover.

I shudder to think what the Arrow writers will do to Kara. Can the Supergirl writers take care of the whole crossover, please?
