Guess you've never seen Deliverance

I hope tumblr fans don't try to ship Kara and Clark together. We don't want a repeat of Olicity because of them.

But, it's canon ... of sorts:

Superman was open to dating and marrying Supergirl, except for those pesky Kryptonian laws which forbid cousins from marrying.

EDIT: It's hard to believe, but that comic got even weirder: http://www.cracked.com/article_18957_the-8-most-awkward-sexual-moments-in-comic-book-history_p2.html

Just had a thought have they released any toys for Supergirl?

I imagine with Superman appearing there'll surely be some Superman action figures?

Especially with the latest leaked pics, that gives them a great toy they could create

They have quite a few coming out for Supergirl, I would doubt they would have anything coming out for Superman for 2 episodes in a TV series, other than what they would normally put out with BvS and upcoming movies.

Supergirl toys/collectibles
Rock Candy series
Pop series
Best Friends Forever series
Bobble head series
DC Collectibles
and one other one I can't remember

I'd like to see a Hot Toys Supergirl figure.

Yes. Mattel have released a 6" action figure of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) as part of their Multiverse line of action figures. I think it's in (US) stores now.

DC Collectables are also releasing an action figure of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) as part of their broader DC TV line of action figures. I'm not sure when that is due out though - probably not for a while.

And there is a lot of comic book / DC Superhero Girls merchandise featuring Superhirl at the moment.

That's the one I forgot....Mattel version....

I bet they will eventually do a Superman figure for the show. They make them for all sorts nowadays.

Super Nerds! :D

Super Nerds FTW!!! :atp:

But seriously, all of these BTS pics of Tyler as Clark/Superman give me the Clark/Superman vibe I've been longing for and which have been sorely missing from Snyder's movie verse.

Having some fun with the gag reel.... :)

Superman is wearing a kind of modified costume in a new set video.

It also seems that Supes is fighting a Kryptonite powered enemy from the set video.

Once again, this is a great time to follow @yvrshoots on twitter. :)

A few things I hadn't seen before thanks for posting :woot:

A few random potentially spoilerish thoughts

* Wonder why they haven't announced whose playing Mettallo.
* Is Mettallo the villain or is it just a cameo of sorts?
*If it's a cameo I can see these episodes maybe been a little like Superman's first appearance in Batman: The Brave & The Bold in that they served as a sort of greatest hits for the character.

Seeing all these BTS news I wonder if having two or three episodes for every super villain would work better than a villain of the week.

Is it just me or does Supergirl seem to have the more active fan base of the CW shows right now?

I would certainly like a story-arc that lasts two or three episodes. I never have liked the quick round-up at the end of 45 minutes. Give us two or three episodes to really get into the story and flush out the villains, and to give their threat the real weight it deserves.

Like the 'World's Best' crossover, it would have been better as a two-parter.

I agree, and I hope moving to the CW will allow that....a few times over the course of the season.

More BTS pics with new to series Katie McGrath (Lena Luthor)

Read at your own risk.... SPOILERS

Supergirl is the one with the big changes happening. New network, Superman sans blur-o-vision, crossovers with all the other Arrowverse shows, new filming location, etc.

It's pretty much business as usual for Flash and Arrow. The changes from the status quo will probably be wrapped up in a few episodes for both shows. Legends is dealing with some changes but nothing as drastic as Supergirl.

There's a lot more to talk about when things are different.

How long do people think Supergirl will run for now that it's on the CW? As long as Arrow so far? Or longer like Smallville?

Hard to tell. Would be nice if it had the Smallville run length. Berlanti is the 21st century version of Aaron Spelling. I wonder if there is a road map for the CWverse like the DC/Marvel movie universes. Of course they could be playing it year to year.

If it gets renewed this season, then four would be the absolute minimum due to syndication economics. If a show gets three full (20+ episodes) seasons and airs on a network that owns it (Warner Bros owns DC/Supergirl and half of the CW), a fourth season is automatic because you need ~80 episodes for most traditional syndication deals. The monetary incentive is just too great.

Looking at Supernatural, I'd say all of these comic shows will be around as long as they're producing even average ratings. Vampire Diaries is finally going to end after this season but they dragged that show on two seasons after they lost their female lead.

We know the main cast of Arrow signed seven year contracts before the show started. If we assume that the casts of Flash, Supergirl, and Legends signed similar deals then it's likely that seven seasons will be the lower limit for them.

Basically, if Legends and Supergirl make it through this year with renewals then we'll have all four CW Arrowverse shows until 2018 at the least, likely through 2020 and beyond.

Am I the only one that is reminded of Superboy Prime's armor with this BTS shot?

Yeah, unless the show just completely tanks (which seems unlikely since CW has been building a strong DC fanbase on their network and since the show will bring over some viewers from CBS) it should have at least a few seasons of being pretty safe.
