I wouldn't expect that. She probably has a big role in Superman 2.I hope for a solid presence of Superman in the new Supergirl.

Yeah my one nitpick with Ultraman was that I don’t understand how Lex verbally giving him commands would allow him to best Superman. Because even if he is much stronger, Superman has lightning fast reflexes so he should theoretically be capable of landing multiple blows on Ultraman before Luthor could even give him an order. I think Lex should have had some sort of super (or ultra) fast AI feeding him those instructions, but I guess Gunn likes his “villain playing video games” moments like he did in GOTG 2 haha. It still works but if you think about it, that part doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Yeah the commands bit was a bit strange I didn't think much of that either. As you point out Supes is moving faster than the eye can see at times so Lex's commands wouldn't even get to UM in time for him to react. But in a movie with pocket universes and stuff I learned to live with it.
Yeah it’s not a big deal but given how fast AI is capable of moving in the real world, it’s odd that Gunn didn’t capitalize on that in the movie, especially after he said earlier how Ultraman could counter every one of Superman’s moves. For a moment there, I almost thought they might throw us a curveball and Ultraman was going to turn out to be The Midnighter since he has that ability and this movie ties into The Authority (or will).
Yeah before the reveal I was thinking along those lines myself. But when it was revealed to be a clone I was a bit disappointed. Though I did like how he ended up in a black hole to end up on possibly another Earth.
Well it's the anti-matter river or whatever it was called that we saw in the pocket dimension. It was made of cubes and it was running off into the black hole.People said the "blackhole" he got sucked in is full of cube shapes... I've seen it twice and somehow forgot to pay attention to that. Anyone else catch that?
Lex is a contolling egomaniac who hates Superman. I figured Lex's ego means he would want to personally give the commands, you could see him relishing the beating 'the hammer' gives to Superman.Yeah my one nitpick with Ultraman was that I don’t understand how Lex verbally giving him commands would allow him to best Superman. Ultraman is not stronger than Superman...he is equal to Superman. He is a clone (an imperfect one) but still within range of Superman (who is probably still not at 100% mind you) and he has the advantage of having help.
Superman can move at superhuman speed but so can Ultraman so having a master tactician like Lex (who remember is also thinking moves ahead) gives him a tiny advantage.
(not to mention this Superman is not Silver Age Superman...he is defeatable he has limits)
Pardon me if I dont take the word of the guy who is already lying to the person he said that toIt was stated by Lex in the movie that Ultraman is stronger buddy.

Honest question...how would Lex even know?

Yeah I think he’ll turn into full-fledged Bizarro and we’ll even get Bizarro World.
Ultraman bested Superman because Lex spent 3 years studying Superman’s fight techniques and designed the exact fight style/moves to counter him. He knew what Supes would do before Supes did it. That was the whole point of the commands. Superman isn’t an especially well-trained fighter. He’s a street brawler who has his go-to moves. When strength is equal, that means he can be bested with a little better technique, which is what Lex was providing to Ultraman.

They both lost their home planets. They mourn differently... Kara likes to party, Clark!Did anyone else find it weird on how indifferent Clark and Kara came off to each other? Although it was a quick appearance, I didn't get the impression that they've known each for a long time like in most interpretations.
Given how much emphasis was placed on Clark finding comfort in Jor-el and Lara's message, you'd think that he would want to spend more time with his only living blood relative.

He did not seem to be overpowering him at all to me at that point, just got a couple of good licks in. Also, Supes tossed Ultraman into the bus with a dislocated shoulder while Ultraman was pinning him down.Even after Krypto disabled the commands though, Ultraman was overpowering Supes. Also Lex isn't a well-trained fighter either so just some counter moves wouldn't best Supes every time if the power was equal. Ultraman looked stronger throughout.
Yep wouldn't surprise. Or he becomes the Super/Ultra man of another version of Earth.
It was a small nitpick for me that Ultraman didn't have that classic Bizarro look when the mask came off. But yeah, I agree that Gunn set it up perfectly for both of those things to happen eventually.Yeah I think he’ll turn into full-fledged Bizarro and we’ll even get Bizarro World.
