Superman Returns Superman's Posey Talks Kitty

I'm supporting this movie to a bloody pulp, but I can't see myself going "I can't wait for Kitty!"

What? That's what you seem to want - a scheming corporate rich boy, totally deadpan-serious and depressingly morose Lex. Right?

What I am saying is, "I can't wait to have fun at the cinema again!" Superman Returns seems to be firing on all cylinders for me.

a scheming corperate Tycoon is something I would rather have. Though, I'm sure Spacey will do Luthor justice.

Like what I said before, I don't mind if he's funny (dry) but no slapstick ("Wanna see a long arm, Otis!")

Scheming works...corporate kinda works...rich works...totally works...aaaaannnddd...Lex works.

Boy, dead-pan-serious, and depressingly-morose don't work.

For me, anyway.

Let me tell you a true story. I started at a new facility a year ago, and I'm working with researchers from 25-60 years old. Somebody fudged their statistics on a proposal, and I said "You wanna see a very long arm?!". Almost everybody there got it, and laughed. And then commented how they loved that movie. That's the kind of thing that is awesome. Nobody's going to remember a tycoon with a god complex. Those are a dime a dozen. People will remember a great performance.

But I have to say this:

From what I know, most (if not all) Non-fans think of Lex as a business tycoon. All of my friends think of him as a CEO of a corperate machine. And non of them are into comics.

Think about this: I don't mind if Spacey is a continuation of Hackman's Luthor. I just didn't like his 'hijinks' with Otis. I already described some of the scenes that I didn't like from Superman: The movie to you, so I won't recap (unless you want me too)

Like what I've said, I don't mind if Luthor is funny, as long as he's a legit threat and menacing, in which Spacey can pull.

I didn't find Hackman's Lex threating. His actions were, but as a character, no. In fact, it felt like he (along with Otis and Ms. T) were from a different movie.

But, it's just my take, man :)

Ha, Matches, my new sig is better than yours!

Does it have naked Kate Bosworth? I think not. Therefore, Robocop-not-Jesus stands as winner. ;)

Well, to be fair, you do live in Orange County. ;)

How'd that bankruptcy go? Hm? :D

Man, haven't been back to SoCal in years. Do they still have the Illegal Immigrant Crossing signs on the 101?

I always wanted to take one as a souvenir...but then how would the conscientious California drivers be warned??

If you hit a family, then I guess ignorance is bliss, Matches.

....oh, man. That's awful!

You know it's happened before. I always wondered why they were dressed in their Sunday best on the sign...

That's the best time, didn't you know? That way, all the "good" people will be in Church and can't catch you. But I guess no one told the border crossers about Sunday drivers.
