Supernatural - Season 4

Well sometimes you know the saying. you get what you pay for. and if the shows turn out like ****, its their own fault.

People now a days are just so damn stupid. watching all these reality crap.

a lot of people like to shut off their brains when they turn a TV on. They dont want anything with too much backstory or mythology that they have to pay attention to. They just want the basic crap that appeals to the most basic of interests. It's why stupid formulaic sitcoms and mindless reality rules the airwaves, while shows like SN, SV, Heroes, etc. struggle for ratings...

Heroes actually does pretty well ratings wisee....its practically NBC's crown jewel...they pimp that show hard

Well, the show has desperately needed the view from the other side. If you're going to have demons, angels can't be far behind. I was glad they addressed this issue back in Season 2 with Dean's lack of faith, and now we're getting it full blown.
I agree. That episode from season 2 was great.

God is ALL powerful. LOVED it!

I thought Heroes does well in the ratings?

That was easily one of the most poignant episodes of the entire series. Sam being the believer and Dean the faithless. But there are so many people who live by that code: "If I haven't seen it, it doesn't exist."

Well, now he's seen it. It'll be interesting to see where this goes.

I loved this show tonight!
:applaud

I watched all 3 seasons again this summer and highly recommend the experience. Back to back... no commercials... really made me appreciate how GREAT this show is.

I was disappointed with Ruby though. Why not Katie Cassidy or someone who had the same sassy spark. This girl was strange...

So how is Sam "casting out" demons now and WHY is he lying to Dean?!

Are y'all trying to say that Ruby at the end was the same girl Sam was with in the hotel? That was so not like the old Sammy not to know her name. I don't like that.

Sam said he was saving people and wants to "keep going." Why would he think Dean would have a problem with that? I mean, come on. That's been the name of their game since the beginning.

Well considering Sam's working with a demon and Dean's expressed plenty how he feels about that I understand why Sam would be a little secretive.

Plus Dean spent 4 months being tortured by the things so he probably hates them even more and now he's working with an angel so that's going to put him and Sam and Ruby at some serious odds.

Also yes that was Ruby with Sam in the hotel. It was probably all an act but it has been 4 months. Sam is a changed man. He may be a little into the womanizing thing himself.

Thats what i've been saying all night about that part.

What did that "Angel" say to Dean at near end I missed. Please fill me in. Thanks.

But he said something else, about why he had to stay hidden and why he burns their eyes out.

Oh, so he spares them from being hurt, but that psychic crossed a line. when he warned her? Am I right. I was in out of the room. LOL

Yes he said he warned her but she wanted to continue on. hence why her eyes were burnt out.

I see, thanks!
I wonder thorough out the season if we will figure out how Dean got out of H E L L. Like if they will show it. And show what happend within the time gap of Dean being dead.

I LOVE the angel angle. I can't wait to see how this all plays out. This is definitely gonna put Sam and Dean at odds.

Great episode. This show is so ****ing awesome.

I think he's a true Angel...The big guy is probably irritated about all the demons running around and probably knows the Winchesters are probably the best suited to deal with it....

I was thinking that God sees Sam as a major threat now as his powers continue grow thanks to Ruby. And before Sam fully turns over to the darkside. He has Casiel retrieve Dean, hoping that he can prevent evil Sam from awakening to lead hell's army.

After the end of Season 3, as Dean languished in hell, I wrote this:

I know that the show has not gone here for some weird reason, but I find it hard to believe that Dean didn't try calling out to God. They have this WHOLE assenal of weapons... but why don't they try the MOST powerful one?! Oh, Well...

I thought that would be a good avenue out of hell, but I really didn't think they'd go there. What a great surprise!

Dean didn't make his "deal" for selfish reasons, but he literally gave his life for Sam, his brother.... Much like Christ died to redeem men who were perishing, and dead in sin.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." - John 15:13

Going with the premise of the show (which isn't exactly Biblical), how could God not notice that?

Dean is so much bravado, but he's also vulnerable... It was one of those great, emotional Supernatural moments when he confessed that he didn't expect anything good to happen... and the angel discerned that Dean thought he didn't deserve to be saved...

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” - James 4:6

Dean needs faith. Think he'll find some this season? :)

"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith." - 1 Peter:5: 8-9

Wow, what an amazing episode! The angel reveal was such an awesome development, and is something I've been wanting to see for a while (the whole balance thing). This is my favorite show (I don' think I've been into a TV series this much since I was a kid) and I tell everyone I know to watch it. My wife and I have been hooked since the series premiere and have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD. Waiting to buy Season 3 on Blu-ray. Cannot wait until next week, lots of returning characters. So happy Supernatural is back.:woot:

I learned that a lot of people in my office watch 'Gossip Girl' like A LOT....and none of them watch any other show on the CW...it's gotten hot due to word of mouth....

That's how I started watching (that and already being a fan of Schwartz from The O.C.). I watch 5 CW dramas (SN, SV, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Reaper) which is as much as I follow on FOX (Terminator, Prison Break, 24, Bones, House) so I think the network is holding up incredibly well in content compared to the Big 4.
