Survivor: Samoa

I wish he gets voted out today.... i hate him!

I hated him at the start, but now I think he's the best thing about this season...which is in huge contrast to Coach last season, who I couldn't stand and was genuinely pissed every episode he wasn't voted out.

Russell won't win, but I want to see him go to the end anyways.

Complete ownage. That was badass.

I hated Russell in the begining, but now I'm hoping he wins it all.

I cannot believe that Russell found another freakin' idol! I still don't buy all of the hype with him, but seeing the look on Laura's face at tribal was priceless.

:funny:

Any other Survivor fans out there seem to think the outcome of some of these immunity challenges seem kinda convenient? I mean last week Laura was on the chopping block and she goes last in the challenge and wins on the last swing. Then this week shes on the block again and seems to win. It's not only those 2 examples but it seems to happen on others as well, alot more than it should. Russell ftw too, hes about the only person this season who is even remotely interesting to me.

It's called editing.

Russell is just flat awesome, the look on all of Galu's faces were priceless, and next week's promo is very interesting.

As much as I'd like it, I just don't see Russell winning no matter what path he takes to get there now. Seems too many don't like him and will probably head hunt him until hes gone now for that last stunt he pulled. Hes gotta be up there IMO with some of the best players, considering hes done so much with so little to work with.

Starting to really hate Dave. I hope Laura is the next to go, and I hope Russell goes home with all the money just for the lulz (and if not, then I hope it's Natalie or Jaison).

Also, I'll bet there's gonna be a tie-breaker for the vote next week, because Shambo will side with Foa-Foa so it will basically be those 5 votes against the remaining Galu's 5 votes.

This episode was just all around badass. Has there ever been a tribe crumble like Galu before?!?! They have to be quite possibly the dumbest group of tribe members ever. :hehe:

The Foao Foa's are sailing to the final four right now. I don't think Russell will win though, with the way he's playing. I think this game is wrapped up with a Jaison or Natalie win.

Dont see Jaison wining, he has not done anything, out playing, out thinking, or wining any challenges, only way he wins is if he is up against someone more useless than he is.

I can see Russel wining if he somehow got to the end. He has more or less played everyone on his tribe.

If somehow they manage to get "Shambo" to their side and start knocking them off he has a very good chance of making it to the final. imo.

I think Russell can win if he takes Shambo to the final 2. What's amazing is, with a few exceptions, Russell on any other Survivor cast would make the villain you love to hate. He would be up there with Johnny Fairplay and Rich Hatch. On this cast, he is who I am rooting for. This cast is just so dull, boring, and unlikable that its impossible not to root for the one player with a bit of life.

Jaison seems pretty incompetent to me and Natalie pretty much reaffirms that she is a typical dumb blonde by her behavior last night when she killed that rat. Not the act of killing the rat, but just how she talked about it like "OMG its rat, I'm so scared" kinda vibe. For me its Russell or bust but I always seem to like the players who stick their neck out on the line and try to outwit than coat tail riders. I always seem to like the villains but on other seasons I did like Rupert and James.

I can see it being a Russel, Shambo, Nat Final 3. If they can keep from self destructing.

Very interested in seeing what happens next week. This week I knew Russel wouldnt get booted just because they kept making it seem like he was going to be in all the previews.

I will laugh if he finds yet another idle.

It's a Final Three this season.

Ugh, really? I hate that. It sucked the first time. I'm guessing it will suck again. Still, maybe if he takes Shambo and Jaison (who most know is useless) he will have a chance? Or Shambo and Natalie, even? The thing is, most realize that everyone in the original Foa Foa were useless with the exception of Russell and the doctor. Russell can probably sway votes on that very premise.

Oh, my stars and garters! That. Episode. Was. AWE-SUUUMMM! :wow:

This season did a complete turnaround from "meh" to "YEEAHH" in just two episodes.

You have to hand it to Russell. Man has persistence in spades while everyone else just sits on their asses, especially the Galu tribe that expects the minority to calmly accept their fate with minimum complaint and keel over. Fat chance with Russell. He will never win the million dollars, especially if he does succeed at decimating the entire Galu tribe; the jury hold the power, after all, and emotions are sure to run high come the finale. "I did this for strategical reasons" just isn't going to cut it with these people.

I doubt Russell cares to win the game, anyway, already with plenty of money that he is. Regardless, he is such a delight to root for, especially now and against quite possibly the biggest *****face since Corrine, Laura. I can't stand that woman and her irritating holier-than-thou, self-entitled attitude. She needs to stop winning consecutive immunity challenges, or keep at it so as to make her fall that much harder. Did you see her double glares she shot Russell at TC after Kelly got voted off? I was surprised daggers didn't come flying out of her eyeholes.

Russell finding YET ANOTHER hidden immunity idol simply boggled the mind before I realized the utter obviousness and simplicity of it. The idols are there to be found and of course, they would be at not-so-obvious places often enough frequented. Plus, though gimmicky now, they generate great drama almost without fail. I'm not disappointed to hear that it's back in the game, once again, which practically ensures there not being a dull second. :woot:

Foa Foa should be used to Russell's gameplay by now, so this is nothing new for them and they'll be better prepared to handle what's coming. They're more, say, game-hardened. Galu, however, has had it easy for most of the game and become complacent. After that rude shock at TC, I expect their paranoid meter has broken. See how, in the preview, they flocked to Russell at the first chance they see him standing suspiciously near a tree? I hope that was intentional on Russell's part and that Russell has set himself up as bait after sending his Foa Foa tribemates to look for the idol. I really would like to see Russell get the upper hand again; it seemed Galu were as full of themselves as they ever were, if not more so. Still a lot of pegs left to knock down, I saw.

Loved seeing Natalia's increased camera time, Shambo's moping about Laura's immunity win, Erik's fist pumps (damn, was he bitter; Galu has sharted on him and he's still nursing his abused ego--but whoever's with FF's good with me), and, of course, the blindside! The reactions were like loads of syrup that I've overdosed on. More of the latter in the future episodes, please, and thank you.

Russell may have the strategic side of the game wrapped up, but he's severely lacking in the social aspect of the game. He may get to the end, but are people going to want to vote for him just because he played a good game, even though he's an a-hole?

Natalie's got the social aspect of the game downpat, she's been working the Galu women since the merge, and Laura even before the merge, and she's been working on some of the Galu men. In his post show interview, Erik was asked who was the best player this season, his answer? Natalie.

You can play the best strategic game ever on Survivor, but what's the point if you're pissing off people left and right? Like Rob M. in All Stars, he clearly controlled the entire game from the beginning, but he pissed off people on that jury that they didn't give a flying rats behind about it.

I see this season ending like that with Russell getting shut out at the end.

original Foa Foa were useless with the exception of Russell and the doctor.

Oh gosh, you've gotta be kidding!! Mick is THE most worthless one there. We've never seen him provide any sort of strategy, he just sits around, and he barely says anything of relevance every episode.

Natalie and Jaison WORKED it in last weeks episode to turn the vote around against Erik and save Russell's butt. Mick hardly did anything other than sit on a log and look like a clueless idiot.

I couldn't believe how much he sucked at that puzzle challenge. Shambo, I understand, but Mick? I'm beginning to doubt if his doctor status is all it's cracked up to be. His uselessness is becoming more apparent by the week, and his being only good for his face and vote, too.

Agreed, I was hoping he'd be a power player at the beginning of the game, sadly not so.

He even squandered that challenge yesterday.

Mick's strategy is brilliant. Right now he is in a perfect place to control the game. He hasn't offended any of the Galu players as much as say Russell or even Natalie (who kissed their asses only to turn on them). He's obviously more capable than he lets on. I think he sucked at challenges as not to allow a target to be painted on his back so he can conceivably be the last Foa Foa player voted out when Galu started picking them off. Once there are one or two Foa Foa players left, Galu would start splitting and he could easily become a swing vote in the dividing factions making him a power player. Conversely, he hasn't gotten too in with Galu either. He could still fall back on Foa Foa loyalty if they some how pulled off the miracle (as they did). I think editting makes Mick look a lot weaker and dumber than he is but if you actually think about the game he has either intentionally or unintentionally put himself in a fairly nice position. And if he wants to, he always has the option of going to Galu players that he can control once they're weakened and starting an alliance to take down Russell and Shambo.

I loved Russell this episode, finding and playing the second idol and in the process destroying Galu's plans. However, he also had a great getting screwed for being to cocky moment, did you notice the smug look when he snagged his second bag at the immunity challenge. It was basically "Yeah, got this one!" then Laura comes from outta nowhere to beat him. Great moment there, he had the ultimate high and low last night.

I think Russell actually lost on purpose? Was that just me that got that impression?!

Oh, and it was sooooooooooo stupid of Dave and the rest of the Galu's to sit at Tribal Council and completely rag on Erik like that. HELLO?!! He's on the jury, so you people might have to beg for his vote at the final TC. Idiots.

Yes, it did seem intentional to me, too. I figured that Russell wanted to lose the challenge for obvious reasons, but not throw it too easily as to give away the game. When he was pulling in the bag with that easy smirk on his face, I knew it was all for show. Then, of course, at the last minute, he mock-realized that Laura was closing in on him and tugged to fail; even threw in a stumble there, too.

But it didn't make sense to have Laura so close to the chance at winning the immunity, so I have no idea why Russell would take such a risk. Maybe he was actually trying but got beat to it. Still looked like it was on purpose, though.

Once Laura hooked her bag, it looked like Russell was really trying, he just fell short.

I don't think Russell tried to lose. He was grinning because he thought he had the challenge in the bag, then Laura hooked hers and got it before Russell.
