She has elbow pads, they're just different from the rest of the uniforms.

Sitting in the hotel room with free wireless internet and updating the blog. It's small but we're in the goddamned center of the universe, that's the nice thing about New York.

On the drive into Manhattan from La Guardia Airport, we passed:

2 X-Men 3 Teaser Posters
1 V For Vendetta Poster
1 Perry Ellis advertisement featuring art by a certain graphic novelist

So, do we look for more portents there? Or just get our asses over to the con?

These new posters for X-Men 3: The Last Stand sprang up all over the city last night. At first I couldn't figure out what they were for because, especially if your driving, it's hard to see the faces and the costumes were not immediately apparent, nor is there a nice big X3 anywhere, but they looked really cool. *g* I was all "What *is* that?" And then I think I drove past the Wolverine poster and I went "OH!". heh. And oooooh, Angel! Nifty keen, jelly bean. And dude, Beast is Kelsey Grammer?? wow. That's a departure from his normal role.

The teaser for the film can be seen here. It looks spiffy. *g*

Since NYC is full of billboards and advertising, there are quite a few of these around. I saw one similar to the way this looks on 50th Street and 7th Avenue (not far from Times Square) - Wolverine was on one side and Storm was on the other.

I thought they had posters this size of the F4 cast. I dont remember seeing the really large ones, but I know they had to bus shelter siez posters.... cuz I am stuck w/ an IW one. You think if I sold it on EBay, I would get good money for it?

Well, giant posters/billboards/bulding hangings are all too common here in NYC. So, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Only this time, it's a giant Logan.

Well, I come in from NJ every morning--that Wolverine billboard is literally the first thing I see when my bus comes out of the Lincoln Tunnel. It's like....skyline, giant Wolverine. It's awesome.

I could try to get a picture...but it's a little tricky taking pictures that close to the tunnel these days. I'll see what I can get to show you what it's like.
