and yet again i find it very amusing to see homophobic X-fans.. guess they never got the hint of accepting divercity....
That's the problem - that's what a lot of people think._BB_ said:Ive said it before, if you really think thats all wolverine is about just slicing, dicing and looking angry, you clearly dont understand his character
did anyone actually watch the first 2 movies? hell it showed alot of logans other emotions besides rage.. shows vulnerability.. as well as sadness and pain.. it amuses me how people seem to forget thatnarrows101 said:That's the problem - that's what a lot of people think.
Riiiight, and that's exactly what should be emphasized in the promotion of a super-hero action franchise - the characters' sensitive sides.spideyboy_1111 said:did anyone actually watch the first 2 movies? hell it showed alot of logans other emotions besides rage.. shows vulnerability.. as well as sadness and pain.. it amuses me how people seem to forget that

I know, how dare they show actual character development in a promotional poster. In case you didn't know, that was sarcasm, might as well tell you since it seems you can't look beyond the actual print of something to find the meaning behind it..demento said:Riiiight, and that's exactly what should be emphasized in the promotion of a super-hero action franchise - the characters' sensitive sides.
Brilliant!

Ahem. Actually, jackass, I've seen both films and I have a perfect understanding of what the posters are trying to evoke. I'll repeat again, ad nauseum, so that you have no problem understanding: these posters are poorly conceived, executed, and do nothing to build hype or interest except for peeps like yourself who slavishly clamor for anything X. Bottom line, they are a failure from an artistic and marketing standpoint.S7ilver said:I know, how dare they show actual character development in a promotional poster. Really?! What a coinkidink! I think you're confusing "sarcastic" with "obnoxious" too! I won't dare to venture why, though. And your implication that having a marketing job and liking the posters somehow certifies them is laughable. Granted, taste is a relative thing but IMO, anyone with a modicum of design sense can see the problem.danoyse said:I think you're confusing "sarcastic" with "obnoxious".
I've seen these posters popping up all over the city...and so far traffic hasn't come to a standstill, the subways are all running, and the crime rate hasn't gone up.
In fact, the Wolverine poster I spotted today was only 4 blocks from where "Rent" is playing, and I didn't see a single passerby stop and start belting out 'Seasons of Love' when they saw the poster.
I think these are the only places where people are fixating over the posters.
And I DO work in marketing. We thought they were pretty cool.

You beg to differ? Fine, beg all you effing want. I still think they suck and taken in context with what I've seen thus far, reinforce my gut feeling that this franchise will come to a screeching halt after this film hits the screens.
I truly hope I'm wrong because I want it to succeed but all evidence points to FOX not giving a shyte. And if they don't then why should I?
