Yeah, that article verifies [BLACKOUT]we aren't getting a real ending. Kinda disappointed. I don't want the studio trying to attach a new franchise to Nolan's. It should stand on its own and be left alone. I still hate the fact that they attached Schumacher's movies to Burton's.[/BLACKOUT]

Hmmm.... Just saw this at Twitter. Here goes our confirmation. The guy is in London. He said he filmed this exactly a year ago by tomorrow.

Scene that involves Bale and Anne sitting at a table with others nearby> Cafe. The scene was shot at University of Greenwich on July 14. A year ago tomorrow.

Very interesting. Unless R2 is now on twitter to 'confirm' his ending in elaborate style. :oldrazz: J/K

The more I read, the more I think that bit of the end is legit. Not that I like it though. :oldrazz:

I refuse to read all other posts above, so forgive me if this has already been posted.

Vid by starxtreme confirms a few scene/location rumours, not very spoilerish since we speculated most of this :

"Bane's Lair" is a portion of the Gotham sewer/where the fight takes place, we already sorta knew this

Chase sequence with the Truck carrying the Fusion Reactor, referred to as "a bomb", pretty much confirms what we speculated about it's use for Bane

I still think we'll get a reboot and not a sequel to the Nolan films, but who knows? If this movie is as popular as TDK, they may want to stay within the Nolanverse, but with different directors and writers.

Regardless of the ending, I will be mightily pissed off WB continues the series instead of rebooting it

"Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story.” “And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story... I'm very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we're telling.” --Chris Nolan

"It's really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne's story". --Christopher Nolan, January 2012 issue of Empire

I'm pretty sure Shape said the ending was definitive.

Wait a minute...

Will it end with the fact that...

Bruce can always come back as Batman, even though it seems like his alter ego is over?

WHAT IS GOING ON :waa:

I am actually starting to make my peace with the idea of
John Blake becoming the next Batman. God help me. I don't know how they would continue it, though. Wayne's wealth kind of acts as a critical component of Batman's capability to fight crime. It's a key part of the character. Never underestimate a studio wanting to hold on to a good thing, though.

I just dig the Nolanverse, and honestly, I've never seen how it couldn't line up with the more fantastical comic book elements. I get the whole "grounded" thing, but I can totally see Bale's Bats going toe to toe with a Killer Croc or meeting up with Supes.

If Bale is done, though, I don't know how you integrate a JGL Batman into the wider DC universe without losing key components that make the Justice League dynamics interesting.

With all due respect

I think it's safe to say John Blake won't be Batman

Haha, that's a fact but

I just don't believe it

TBH the first time I read the spoilers that the ending is a "will he or will Blake don the Batsuit and be Batman?" the first thing I thought of was studio move. It's totally a way for the option to be open to continue on Nolan's worlw with Blake as Batman.

In 2016...

The Dark Knight Reborn
starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Batman

Sorry but may I ask for a summary of these spoilers of the ending? I can't seem to locate the actual spoilers themselves just others speaking vaguely about them. A PM would be greatly appreciated or a post with a spoiler tag. Thanks regardless

[BLACKOUT]Referring to the set pics. Caine and Bale were sighted on set, not sure about Hathaway.[/BLACKOUT]

Batman [blackout]4 starring JGL and Channing Tatum as the villain.[/blackout]

If they wanted to continue with
JGL as Robin, I think that'd be fun enough and leave open the possibility of a Bale return.

Obviously this is insanely unlikely.

But I wonder: if they did, how in the hell do they justify a grown man in a domino mask? Ha.

If that's the ending the next series could be Batman Beyond. That's a new franchise I'd be down with.
