I´ll post this again because none gave me attention.
About the ending

John W ‏@JW28@JayOttley Some people leaked ending saying that the movie ends with JGL finding batcave and Bruce/Selina together at cafe...fake right?

Jamie Ottley ‏@JayOttley@JW28 Do you think Nolan would end his trilogy like that... Your have to wait until July 20th

Jay Ottley is from MovieWeb.
It seems to me that he´s denying that the movie ends like that.
Great relief if the spoiler is fake.

So, is it safe to assume that [BLACKOUT]Batman is looking for someone to take up his mantle and that someone is Blake. Selina/Bruce live happily ever after, Wayne Enterprises ceases to exist or goes bankrupt. Bruce is dead/not dead and has a grave next to his parents. Alfred spots him while traveling. JGL discovers the batcave and batsuit. Maybe a new suit left behind by Bruce specifically for Blake? I still think the Lazarus Pit will be involved.[/BLACKOUT]

I think by out of context, people might just mean outside the film. The context is the fact that the film probably spends a good deal of time selling us the John Blake character. Right now it's a shock because we have not seen him before, but after we spend almost three hours with him in the theater, we may feel differently.

This is what I am thinking.
There might be some big details on blake that sell people on this after seeing it. I mean, it seems from the clips that Blake and Wayne are pretty good friends. And theshape said that Blake knows he's batman pretty early on.

This has been posted before a few times. And he doesn't deny anything. He says wait and see. And when you have Bale spilling the beans, you can kinda see why some of us believe it to be true.

WB has some people monitoring these forums. If something of a substantial leak occurs, it would be wiped (via complaint). They've done this before, even since the Batman Begins days.

From what I understand Nolans take on the Lazarus Pit will be the prison that Bruce is put in. The same prison that Talia and Bane escaped. Thats the way he portrays "revival". Its a symbol for rebirth by climbing out of the darkness

[blackout]mostly yes[/blackout].

Yea, this is why I think the BIG IMPORTANT details are still not known. This is why people don't get the ending. Nolan is probably laughing right now watching everyone freak out thinking..."oh, y'all just wait" ha ha

Maybe theyr'e getting the cast to talk about it so we end up being prepared.

Not sure that is completely true this close to the release of the movie. A lot of people have seen it, and regardless of the embargo, things will get out. With TV spots, and now even the actors are letting small things slip that are easily enough to piece together if you're paying attention. The end and well, most of the story of TDK was known by this time four years ago. Things do leak. Just a reality with the internet.

And this is why I don't mind discussing spoilers, I still feel like I don't really know anything...at least about the ending that is.

Ok. So I'm proceeding on the belief that this is all true, so now to make peace with it I have a few additions:

Bruce leaves a will. No one has mentioned this much, but in his will he leaves Alfred a ticket to Paris, where he knows he may run into him. He leaves Blake a GPS unit that takes him to the Batcave, BUT!!!!!!! the batsuit does not rise out. It is a modified version of the Batsuit, maybe similar to the Red Robin suit? Would that make people happy, if they made it clear he was going to be Robin, not Batman? http://www.comicheronews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/robins_arkhamcity.jpg

Freeman and Bale didn't just let small things slip, they verified that it's not a hard ending. That's a pretty big deal considering the studio and Nolan have been hyping this thing to the Moon as a true ending.

"Do you think Nolan would end a trilogy like that? Sounds definately a denial for me.
And
John Blake finding the Batcave IS NOT a revelation about a character, just saying.
It´s something we didn´t know about a character or we thought it was true but it´s not.
And Morgan Freeman was being ironic, didn´t you realize that?

The next part of his reply is what's important. :cwink: But we will all see soon enough.

A year ago I wouldn't have ever thought Nolan would end this way, but with every second that passes, I'm becoming more of a believer. Sadly.

Check out Freeman and Bale's statements. It certainly seems there is the suggestion of what could happen with Blake, even if it's not out and out said.

Let's just say lawyer was on someone's ass once :woot:

It's as close to a confirmation that we'll get.

The question was about a "spin-off franchise"
He said it's not about him.
He said that it does tease the possibility.

Para, haven't seen you around these parts (on a regular basis) since the Begins days as far as I can recall. Good to see ya' man! :D

:barf::barf::barf::barf:

That's what I think of that. It's unfortunate [blackout]they gave him so much screentime and importance. And I say this as someone who likes JGL. But that's not what draws me to a Batman conclusion movie.[/blackout]

Epic conclusion of Bruce Wayne. John Blake Begins. :oldrazz:

Yep.

I don't think showing John Blake finding the Batsuit at the end of the film means that the film is focused on him. IF, and that's a big IF, WB decides to continue with JGL as Blake/Batman, then I am sure we would see him having to figure out how to do what Batman did, maybe even seeking out the same/similar training. Showing that Batman can continue even if Bruce Wayne retires is the resolution of the ultimate goal of Wayne, to create a symbol Gotham can rally around, something that is eternal.

What I meant was even if it's not out and out said in the film that
Blake will pick up the Batman mantle, it most certainly will open the door to that possibilty. At least how we're hearing it at this point.

I'm wondering if WB knows about these spoilers and are getting the cast to play along?

Folks, the movie is called "The Dark Knight Rises" not "The John Blake Rises". The movie is very much about Bruce Wayne and the conclusion of his story. I mean he is going to get severely injured and have to rise out of the darkness and save Gotham. That on top of the fact that everyone who has seen it has said its about Bruce Wayne and that Bale gives a phenomenal performance. This John Blake is just a side thing that is connected to the story. As theshape said, its not like Blake finding the bat cave is the whole ending. Its just a small part of a montage of things.

I think
the ending will have some sort of loose end. Bale's interview about a possible 4th film if Nolan had a great story, etc has to make one wonder. This obviously could confirm that to us the audience, Bruce does not die but his role as Batman dies thus allowing Blake to fill the void while the symbol/legend lives on.
