The Dark Knight Rises TDKR Video Game Tie-in ????

They should just release a TDKR DLC for Arkham City.

The should make the TDK game as ambitious as Arkham. In fact they should put the whole trilogy in one game, nuff said. That'd be epic.

Maybe Nolan has some voice recordings laying around.

Anyway, I would love a Nolan trilogy game.

They could just use the Joker's voice from the actual movie. They did that for alot of the voiceover bits for the characters in the Batman Begins game.

They re-recorded lines for the Batman Begins game. I don't why but most movie based video games (if not all) re-record instead of using the lines directly.

I'd love it if Rocksteady made The Dark Knight Legacy, spanning all three movies.

Edit: Begins has a line that always makes me laugh.

"I WANNA KNOW ABOUT BEARS AND RABBITS!!!!"

I would like a combination of TDK and TDKR, half and half for the game. That would be great.

There's not much you'd do in a full TDK game anyway.

Level 1 - Scarecrow in the Parking Garage / thugs and dogs
Level 2 - Fight Joker's thugs at the Penthouse / Save Rachel
Level 3 - Save Dent / Joker's Semi chase (Tumbler and Bat-Pod)
Level 4 - Save Rachel (Bat-Pod)
Level 5 - Fight Joker and his thugs in the building (Ferry finale)

Whatever TDKR's action scenes are could be Levels 6-10, the last level involving involving the Bat-Lobster. :word:

For starters with your level one, scenes could be expanded out well beforehand to make them meatier. For example find out about the Scarecrow meeting via surveillance work. Taking down informants for further info as well perhaps. Remote controlling the Tumbler into position across the other side. Executing the boost jump as seen in the film. Then cue the film fight.

It's no loss or risk, if the game turns out terrible we still have an amazing film and a great batman game already. If the game is good...the game is good. It's not like they will stop making arkham games if this one goes down the toilet.

With no TDK game I think fans will really want a TDKR (tie in or not) Nolan styled game. We would finally get to play using TDK bat suit maybe even the BB suit, possible tumbler, bat pod & Bat and we would get Hardy's Bane! I for one am super excited just for the possibility of this being true.

RM & Anne have some good ideas of how it could play out. There's tons of ways to make a game that doesn't have to be tied to the movie. But if it does it can use all of the story fill in spots to make it meatier as some of Annes ideas suggest.

Like I've said, it can't be worse than the BB game and that game was not all that bad IMO. Had it been released on PS3/360 consoles I believe the game would've been better.

What I'm curious about is why are we just hearing about this now so close to the movies release and of course, if this is true, how are the graphics and game play? Even more surprised rocksteady wasn't given this opportunity. I think they would've nailed it.

Who else would love for Nolan's trilogy to be continued through video games? If RS finished the Arkham trilogy then worked on new Batman games that expand on the Nolanverse with villains like Harley Quin, Killer Croc, Clayface, etc., that would be amazing.

Arkham City practically was a TDK/TDKR game. Yes it wasn't quite the Nolanverse but it styled a dark and gritty environment quite well using the cartoon/comic universe. (With the (Game end spoiler)
Joker's (as voiced by Mark Hamil) death and last hoorah.
it felt like almost a closing to the old 90's cartoon universe.)

Was such an awesome game, though. I don't see how a Nolanverse game could do any better, even if they combined all three movies to make a game.

I do think it's funny how they use the Nolanverse's burnt Two Face as a character model and still have the "acid on face" story in his character bio.

No way they're not using a Lazarus Pit to bring him back in a possible sequel.

I can see a nolanverse being better in terms of story. Dini really dropped the ball in both arkham asylum and arkham city.

I second that. While I love the games, I found it funny that everyone and their grandma was raving about the story. It was ok for a videogame, but at facevalue, just as a story it wasn't very good.
Same with Conroys performance. Sounds so phoned in, it hurts. But then again, I am one of the few people who never were that much impressed by his voice. He doesn't sound like Batman to me. More like some Knight at Arthurs roundtable. Much to "high and mighty" for my taste.
Just hear his "shut Arkham City down!" line for example. JUCK!
I liked Romanos voice in "The Batman" much more.

Don't kill me, please...

For saying that Conroy doesn't sound like Batman, you do deserve to die. :cmad:

You should definitely listen to the french bat voice in TAS. The actor's name is Richard Darbois, and he was really great.

I will check him out, Leo! But in general I am not a fan of translated stuff.
Everythings always better when its in the language of the country of its origin. So much gets lost in the translation process, at least here in Germany.

Seriously? I'm a long time and huge fan of Kevin, and I think his performance in AC was one of his all time best. Didn't sound phoned in at all.

"Today is not a good day to push me, Victor" was delivered so beautifully, it hurts. :)

I still don't understand the lack of TDK/BB costumes in Arkham City. It's like Rocksteady hate money.

Yeah, that line was cool. I also liked when he talked to Penguin, when he entered his arena, but all in all... meh.

I know most people love him and I used to like him too, in TAS and Justice League, but somehow I can't hear him anymore. For me, I think, he was perfect for the time, but I liked almost every DC animated movie Batman voice actor who came after him a lot more. Sisto, Romano, Greenwood. They nailed that grim, "a man of few words" part better.

It may also have something to do with how he was written in Arkham Asylum and City... much to talkative for Batman. I mean the whole "They tried to drop an elevator on me" "Did it work?" "Of course not" dialogue with Oracle, for example. In my mind, Batman wouldn't even mention something like that. The same with the "I eat punks like these for breakfast" line. I mean... seriously? Somehow, its always Conroy who get those lines these days, not Bruce Greenwood, or whoever else speaks the part, so it actually might have a lot to do with how his Batman gets written. I hope this makes sense. :woot:

by the way @ Darkhunt: best avatar ever. Dare I say... it's epic?

I'm going to agree.

And yeah I'm honestly not seeing how someone could hate the story or voice acting in that. It was all top notch.

Dini has done a much better job in writing Batman over the years. AA/AC's stories were mediocre to bad.

Agreed. The Arkham stories haven't been bad, just not up to Dini's standards. However, the dialogue and characterization is always perfect (well, besides Bane). I loved how Batman was such a jerk in AC.
