Umm, what?

I'm guessing you do not live in Chicago.

I do, and I can tell you that those are not "L" trains. We don't stack them in multiple layers, one above the other. Most aren't more than a two or three stories above the street, and certainly not 15, with one track above another, as in that shot. We also do have those little curvy rooftop thingies.

The one in the prologue is definitely an L. That's what people were talking about, not the later shots around Wayne Tower.

I think Bruce will either die or be horribly crippled, and there's nothing wrong with that because if you're going to be a cripple, it's better if you're a rich cripple.

I just want Bruce to get closure. Even if he dies I hope at the time that he knows he has or will inspire Gotham for a long, long time.

With Harvey it didn't work, because a lie never works in the long run, tapering over the cracks is not the same as filling them.

This! I want a proper closure. Not like the Mass Effect 3 'closure', I want a definitive ending, I want to see a resolution.

Yeah, when Batman attaches the bomb to The Bat, a magical Star Child will appear and give him 3 options that are colour coded.

And they all have the same BS outcome! :p

After the 3rd trailer I'm now convinced as I have been the whole time that Bruce/Batman WILL NOT DIE.

The little boy says "do you think he's coming back?"

This is the story that was started in Batman begins. When Bruce was asked "Why do we fall down?" "So we can pick ourselves back up."

Hince, The Dark Knight Rises.

Yesterday it occured to me that the first shot of Bearded Bruce moving like he's sitting in a wheelchair in the trailer could be from the movie's end. He defeated Bane and saved Gotham but was crippled doing so.

I think a few people already debunked that theory... He's merely leaning back/twisting and the camera angle adds to the effect.

Or so they say.

This is the 78th thread, dammit :cmad:

I agree.

If the film ends with a Voice Over of Bruce saying "Why do we fall?" then cutting to black with the title card, I think I just might tear up.

I'll tear up regardless of what happens at the end.

I agree. I think this is early on when Bruce is depressed/eccentric.

Another Modine interview: http://readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=385875
Matthew Modine is on his cellphone, walking through Manhattan's Meatpacking District and talking about his role in Christopher Nolan's latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises," when he suddenly pauses.

"It's funny," the actor said. "I'm just looking at a sign that says 'Nolan' right in front of me on the corner of Gansevoort and Hudson.

"No, it's Charles Nolan," he said after another pause, sounding crestfallen that the sign relates to the late New York designer rather than to the British filmmaker. "Sorry, I interrupted myself. The thing about Christopher Nolan is his work ethic, his passion for what he does."

"The Dark Knight Rises" isn't scheduled to open until July 20, however, and Modine isn't supposed to reveal any details about the story or even the character he plays - Nixon, a member of the Gotham City Police Department.

Even so, Modine's excitement about the film is obvious.

"I believe that Christopher Nolan and his producing partner/wife cast everybody, from the catering to the teamsters to the camera crew and the actors," he said. "They want a crew of people working on the film that want to be there. This is not a job, it's a passion. It is the first film that I've worked on in so many years where everybody is excited to come to work and be at work, to create something that is extraordinary and unusual."

I wish you're correct but when bats told Selena that he hasn't given gothamites everything, that tells me he is going to give his life. That also tells me that bats knows he will die for sure, like he's expecting it.

Or he is going to give them his identity . I think there is a better chance that he reveals his identity than him dying .. I think Alfred may sacrifice himself in the end if anything

I doubt that. Really, I think he is just telling CW that he is not done and he hasn't given up on Gotham yet and he will show to Bane and CW that he is stronger than they think. That's all, I don't think he'll die or reveal his identity.

But, I really hope this film will provide a real answer to Gotham. Because as much as I love Batman, he is just a man. He won't always be there. In the end, I want to have an idea of the future of Gotham, what will happen to city, I want to see how much Batman changed the city.
