I can really never bring myself to grips with this mentality, especially when our point of comparison is the godawful katie holmes and maggie gyllenhall performances. She's been a breath of fresh air based on what little we've seen of her.

Not for me. The thing is Holmes and Gyllenhall were only playing Rachel Dawes. Hatthaway is playing Catwoman!
Really, I just think she's a mediocre actress and a super annoying person and nothing I've seen so far wowed me.
Again sorry, not everyone is going to like her. I will survive to it though. Like I said I don't think she will be terrible but when I watch videos of someone like Noomi Rapace for Prometheus, I'm sad, yes.

And by the way, I was actually one of the people who liked the casting of Ledger from the beginning when most people wanted that guy from that rats movie or Hulme and it turned out I was right.
