I bet they have loads of awesome posters ready and they're struggling on deciding which to make the "main" one. Maybe they should have the fanbase vote :p

WB right now...

I've seen enough footage. Some hq stills would be okay. a poster or 3 but I'm okay with not seeing any more of the movie until it is released.

If I remember correctly the TDK TV spot that showed footage from the interrogation scene when Batman appears behind Joker (the TV spot I wish I could've unseen before I saw the film) was released pretty close to the premier.
Maybe based on TDK TV spots that's when we'll really start seeing some new footage in the TDKR spots.

I'm good with what I have seen so far. I don't want WB to show half of the movie in freaking TV spots, like we see with other movies sometimes. Prologue, two great full trailers, now I'm just ready for the movie to be released.

WB will show a lot of new footage in tv spots, but its usually the spots that show up in july. Very little new footage wil be shown in mayl/june.

You'd think after two trailers and a 7 minute prologue people would shut up about the marketing.

That's the one thing that irks me about this board: the constant need for more and more.

I don't like how Prometheus is being marketed, I've seen more footage than I would have liked to at this stafe due to the ridiculous amount of different trailers out there and the TV spots (and the trailers are unbelievably spoilery too, that's another thing that pissed me off). I feel I can already piece the film together roughly due to how much I've seen of it.

But on the other hand, TDKR is still shrouded in mystery for me and that's how I like it.

Yep, theres nothing wrong with marketing, the average joe will decide to go to see this film 1-2 weeks before when the barrage of tv spots and billboards tell them to, the people who complain about it are just masking their own need to consume every nugget of this film before its release.

Heck I would love to see new footage, because i just want more of this film, it has nothing to do with a lack of marketing :funny: chances are if you are on this board you made your choice to watch this film ages ago.

Funny you said that because I recently just watched this video:

The only mystery left in TDKR for me is the ending. I think we have 90% of the rest of it figured out.

No you don't.

And here is the precise reason why WB is under no pressure to release things hand over foot. A lot of you think you're ahead of the curve and have figured out the film. The impact of new material which throws you into a different direction will be more significant closer to the film.

On July 19th you will be convinced you know less about the film then than you ever have since news has been released.

This will eliminate the idea of "I know what happens, I can wait til week two" sentiments and boost the opening weekend numbers.

There's nothing wrong with wanting more and more, as long as you don't blame the marketing for it only for not releasing more stuff.

yeah we really need some new marketing posters, out of the 2 we have so far they don't really come close to what we got for the dark knight.

Is it just me, or does Catwoman look really hawt in this pic?

Just saying... :wow:

Still not digging the new catwoman costume, can't help but compare it to the Batman Returns Version, I Know they are different directors, different worlds but its still just not great.

The color palette (when she wears nothing but black) is ridiculous... And so is the faux-signature. It's such a waste of a good shot. Catwoman's not written as a role model for teenage girls in the film, so why try to market her that way? I mean, it's not a big deal, but you have to think that they create these things to advertise the film... if I went by this poster alone, I'd be uninterested in the film, because the poster looks juvenile and cheap. Luckily marketing tools rarely represent their product accurately, and I know this won't hurt it's chances. TDKR is an unstoppable, speeding bullet, regardless of the poor marketing; it's a film that will speak for itself.

That Catwoman poster..Jesus Christ.I see WB hired Uwe Boll to oversee their marketing dept.

I've been a batman fan since 1989, so i hope your right, i cant help but think it wont be able to beat Avengers though, considering a Avengers ticket is more expensive too, factoring in the 3D.

Guys, it's promo art. It's just crappy images to somehow appeal to little kids. I wouldn't take it so seriously.

Every superhero film has crappy promo art (Even look at TASM).

those pics look like something that would be notebook covers... crappy notebook covers.
