Avengers weekend numbers get cut in half every weekend (which is a great percentage). Men in Black 3 just has to make about 30 million to top Avengers.

I don't think even the Hobbit will beat Avengers overall. Get used to the notion of Avengers being the Boxoffice heavyweight champion of the world. Hobbit could come close to Avengers' international gross, but domestically it won't touch Avengers.

Honestly, I'm surprised too. Especially now that I have actually seen it.

I'm not. It's the sort of movie the GA (both domestic and international) eats up like a starving child, plus add 3D and you have the recipe for mega success. With that said, I think people are underestimating TDKR's international gross. TDKR seems to have more "universal" themes like peasant uprisings, and chopping off the wealthy that will go very well over China and India as opposed to TDK's very domestic themes.

I think they will be named after Zimmer's descendants or species of cat or gorilla.

I have had this image of Batman confronting Bane at the climactic battle surrounded by bats; reestablishing his mystique and supernatural aura. of course, these films never turn out how you dream/imagine it (for better or worse.)
