I don't know what I'll really look forward to after this, being as big a fan of Batman as I am. And to think this all really started with those the "dirt" Batman logo that linked to the two pics of the Tumbler on a field in England...where has the time gone?

I'm gonna admit it... I've been holding out for a Jean-Paul Valley hi-tech Batman in a live-action setting since I was... I think... 13.

Iron Batman?

Maybe.

But it'd still be cool... :D

Knightfall made into a live-action franchise...

I'm looking forward to the Hobbit, to be honest. But we'll see. I actually think we'll see a new Batman sooner rather than later, because I can actually say that I'm kind of expecting a Justice League franchise (or I wouldn't have written the blog linked to in my signature :D). So while I really don't want to see another origins story, I wouldn't be surprised to see a new Batman movie (where he's already established in Gotham) just to establish him in a Justice League universe...

The majority of my friends still haven't seen The Avengers(and probably wont go see it in theaters), some are talking about Spidey, some are talking about TDKR, but the vast majority of my friends wont stop talking about Prometheus.

I'm looking forward to all of them, and then some. :word:

I think we all are looking forward to prometheus wether it turns out good or Horrendous. Imo I do not think it will be a sci-fi masterpiece like their supporters are saying or like Alien or Aliens. Just because of what I gathered from the story, themes, and scenarios based on the trailers it feels alot of been there done that. But I hope it turns out to be a good been there done that film. Im only worried because of the writer

you know something is wrong with the marketing when TAS becomes my most anticipated even though Im a hardcore Batman/Nolan Fan. I went into this year hating TAS and now they won me over. I hope that changes again when TDKR marketing picks up

What do you want WB to do? Make a 2 hour TV spot and throw the film at you? They've been building anticipation just fine.

When are we getting trailers for Django and Skyfall or did I miss out on that?

It's hard to believe that it's been 8 years since these pics were released.

There they are! Awesome. The only internet we had at the store at the time wast the credit card machine. I used to swap it out to read the forums and news at the time. Thanks for this.

I remember the first time I saw these, and I was a bit skeptical at the direction they were going in, until they finally released the Batsuit pics, and then I was like :word:

I know what you mean. I had a killer fast dial up connection. :o I remember that it took at least 10 minutes to download those images. My how things have changed! :funny:

Man, I wish I paid attention to Batman Begins... after Batman and Robin I completely lost interest... didn't see Begins until it came out on DVD.

I saw Begins on the big screen, but the only thing I'd seen was 1 or 2 trailers.

no not at all. but at least make it seem real and not just some film that will be out on July 20th. I guess I mean its undoubtedly one of WB Biggest films of the year and a Finale too. So Go out with a huge marketing Bang thats all. Now we are still 2 months away so anything can happen.

But TAS has grabbed me by the Balls and Im on board. their marketing is excellent and Im convinced this movie is really coming out and its gonna be huge why because of the excellent marketing. Now TDKR has shown only 3 trailers and handful of photos and 2 posters and 1 tv spot. thats kinda piss poor compared to TA & TAS Marketing which got it right. They made their movie subliminally get inside audiences heads that their films are coming out and they are must see. If I didn't know anything about TDKR I wouldn't think much of it based on its marketing. what makes it no different then Dark Shadows? that had a lousy marketing and it tanked. Thats my example of a non comic fan average moviegoer would think

TAS just won me over again and Its become my most anticipated I hope that changes back though

It was like that for me as well.

Speaking of Begins, did Nolan use IMAX cameras for that one? I'm going to guess no, but not totally sure.

When are we getting trailers for Django and Skyfall or did I miss out on that?

Since some of the most recent news on Django is of Kurt Russell walking away from the production....getting a trailer for it may be a bit off.

No, but it played in IMAX theaters. I saw it, and it was a better experience than the regular theaters.

I've been trying to decide if I should go to Atlanta or Knoxville to see TDKR in a true IMAX (70mm) theater. I mean, we have a Digital IMAX theater here where I live, but I want to get the true experience. My question is though, how is the picture quality compared to a Digital IMAX? I mean, I know the screen is bigger in a traditional IMAX theater, but that doesn't necessarily mean a better picture. I just want to see the movie how it's intended to be seen.

So what's the problem? The bang you're waiting for will come over the next two months. The marketing for TA and TAS doesn't impress me, but that's just my opinion.

I used to live in both Knoxville and Atlanta, and I would go to ATL.

I saw Begins in ATL, and TDK in Knoxville and ATL.

TASM's marketing has decidedly done the opposite for me. Whereas I was on board upon witnessing the second trailer, the third and fourth trailers have turned me off completely. I am at a point where I might this one out completely. Just Prometheus and TDKR for the rest of the summer for me.

Less than 2 months and I'm going see this beauty in person; I can't wait to touch it... :woot: :hrt:

I remember freakig out about the shape of the cowl from that crappy B&W scan of that first EW photo...

Yeah, that's the general consensus that I have been getting. ATL is a little bit further, but it will be worth it. Plus it would be kind of cool to meet up with some people from the Hype to watch it. Hey that's a good idea! We should try to start organizing meet-ups in the major cities for Hype members and watch it together. I think that would be fun!
